Titanic Tourist Submarine Goes Missing

Even if they have enough Oxygen till 12 they are dead now anyway if they are stuck at the bottom of the Ocean, would take a few hours to get to the surface.
They could reel em in fast and chuck em in decompression chamber if needs be. Not that I think they're on oxy helium mix. Again to labour the point, if the power went out and they've drifted to the ocean floor, they've had miles of descending at terminal velocity, guided by currents, can the sub absorb an impact, have all of the oxy tanks remained online and able to be used when required, what lights do they have if any in the pitch blackness, the French pilot of the sub is 77 years old - the body doesn't react well to stress and strain, let alone on the cusp of your 80's. Also, apparently this or a very similar firm have had a 3 death accident previously.

Do they just drop dead at 12:08pm?
No one knows. 2 or 3 of them might have had a heart attack when it lost contact, meaning loads more oxygen for whoever is left, there's just no way of knowing.

I personally think (if it didn't implode) they'll have used up whatever oxygen they had left within a couple of days and probably died a while ago.

Play dangerous games and get dangerous results. No sympathy as harsh as that sounds, a vanity project they had no business being anywhere near and £250k while people are struggling to pay bills. Sorry for their families like but they knew the risks.
Saw a throw away comment yesterday about how outraged a person was that "the left" is mocking this dire predicament or showing no sympathy.

I'm guessing they were a Mail/Express reader whereby everything they see as disagreeable is because of "the left" - whereas, like you, I see poverty and deprivation as disagreeable while ... shall I say "the right" like to splash cash on their own personal fun of viewing a grave.

Or the French ex-navy seal offed them all after about 2 hours of listening to sniveling, rich Tories and a dumb American. He's down there smoking a cigarette and calmly waiting for his rescue.

I haven't really been following the story too closely, but as someone who works in the offshore survey industry, I have two questions that I haven't seen discussed anywhere. 1. why wasn't the submersible tethered to the launch vessel, and 2. why wasn't there a USBL beacon (plus a backup) attached? Has anyone seen answers to these?
Seems there’s quite a few safety back up plans totally ignored.

This should never be a left/right issue. It’s peoples lives. I find the commercial viewing or disturbance of a ship wreck insulting to the lives of the people lost on the ship. Let them rest in peace…or will we now have a future commercial submersible trip to view the sad one we are now talking about…..

The only left/right issue here is that no individual should be rich enough to build and sell places on a submarine to go 4000m under the surface wothout any regulatory oversight. Also, you shouldn't be able to pay for your trip on said tub by helping Oligarchs avoid sanctions whilst selling their jets.

Indeed….

Agree .... the spectrum of comments have nothing to do with political affiliation, they're to do with the spectrum of people's taste.

I found it irksome that thus particular clone chose to blame "the left" on all the comments they didn't like. That's clearly the result if a closed or indoctrinated mind.

Well I don't know about him going all Chuck Norris but yeah I've said from the start he'd probably be the one with the best chance of survival, even though I think he's the oldest by some distance.

I did think to myself, once you knew you were in trouble if you killed the rest your chances of survival increase dramatically.

But if rescued you are looking at life in prison.

Something of a dilemma.

You could claim that a paper-rock-scissors competition was held, with the winner getting a better shot at life and the losers forfeiting their lives to the winner.

That said, I doubt there will have been the space to start any fights down there, or any kind of objects that could have been used to kill four others while squished in the corner of a tiny little vessel.
