Since humanity started in Africa and slavery was the consequence of losing battles between tribes, it is reasonable to assume that slavery did in fact start in Africa and spread North through Egypt and into Persia and Greece.

It wasn't Winston Churchill. Please go and get better educated on this topic before trying to argue points with me! Not that this is on topic at all.
Sorry mate! Forgot to press the sarcasm button!

Just tot let you know, i'm doing a quick read on sarcasm just to make myself better educated in the structure

That's the subject of the discourse. When one says "in general" it very obviously implies that there are exceptions. I expanded on those exceptions. It's what conversation is. Seems to be an art we are losing?
In the spirit of conversation and going back to the topic in hand, have you watched any of the women in question that are going to be on TNT? Laura Woods is an incredibly talented presenter as is Jules Breach. I listen to The Football Ramble and Jules is on that a lot and she's brilliant. I can't say I've seen a lot of Lynsey Hipgrave or Reshmin Chowdhury so will wait and see with them. I will be impressed if they can be any worse than Jake Humphrey or say Geoff Shreeves.

Thing is. BT Sports already used Jules and Lynsey every week on BT Sport Score and also on the actual televised matches. They also had numerous female presenters each week like Rachel Brown-Finnis etc. so it's not even a big change.

Rachel Brown was very good, especially from a goalkeepers perspective!

You obviously have your poor pundits too

Yeah I know. Basically they've got rid of Jake Humphrey (thank god) and Des Kelly. Reshmin has been working for them on football for a while too. The only new addition is Laura Woods.

She is good and I have a soft spot for her as a former Blue.

I don't know how Michael Owen stays in the job. The RS don't even like him anymore so that argument doesn't explain it. An absolute vacuum of personality and insight.

Some commentators and pundits clearly get the job through old boys and agent networks.

Doubt there’s even an interview.

Pundits, of whichever gender, are unnecessary. They state the obvious in the most bland way possible and rarely offer true insight. Televised football would be better without them.
With regard to commentators, it would be ridiculous not to include as many women as men and people will still have their favourites and their irrational dislikes.

I have not. I don't and never will subscribe to any sport TV as I love sport, and TV money has been used to destroy it and call it entertainment where mercenaries and cheats fill the game and the same old top selling brands always float to the top.

My issue isn't against any of the personalities, I'm rubbish at remembering names of people or recognising celebrities and presenters either. I just have zero interest - an this extends to any men presenting football too.

Ive dipped into this conversation because I am finding myself concerned that, as it seems to me, more and more balance has shifted beyond an expected and reasonable equality towards an increasingly female dominated media. Meanwhile anybody who observes and comments on this inequality is immediately automatically shot down using buzz phrases such as "misogynist" or "incel" which symies debate and drags it down to the level of schoolyard name calling without any substance.

Here we are during lunch at a test match and my radio is mainly women talking about the women's game, rather than the match at hand. I didn't listen yestersay, because ODI doesn't interest me at all, male or female, but was there much conversation about the men's game during coverage of the women's game yesterday?

Who called you an incel?

Link please. I don't find it amusing, just fir research purposes.

Honest.

"I'm all for equality... until they start making things more equal"

Own it you bunch of reactionary insecure man-children. They're taking your trainset and using it in better, more imaginary ways than you ever could.

All this screams is deep seated insecurity. Sorry gents, you just need to admit that women are better than you and deserve their crack at talking crap about football.

Imagine if one ran the country. The horror.
