Played a season in midfield for a team that came 11th struggled to score goals and had a poor defensive record. Something must be wrong. You could blame the defence and striker but then you realise it's Stones Jags, and Lukaku. Just do what everyone else does and blame the imbalance of our team on our third choice striker who barely played last season.

No but we're on a forum thread devoted to talking about Tom Cleverley. If not here, where can you air your views on him? Should I just say he's boss like all the other players are (apart from Kone, he's GOT scapegoat approved) and enjoy our season without passing any objective commentary even if we dirge our way to bottom half again?

Didn't realise you spoke for the 'we' on here. Ah sorry, forgot you're stuck in wannabe mod mode. Can you go and practise on someone else whilst other people talk Everton on an Everton forum? That would be 'sound' mate.

Cleverly is at his best as a CM. He is also adept as a DM, AM and a wide midfielder.

Osman is at his best as an AM. He is also adept as a wide midfielder or a CM in a midfield 3. He can play at DM but his physical limitations are very evident when he does.

osman is at his best not on the pitch
 
I'll wait before a good chunk of the season before judging him as an Everton player. He's had a tidy pre season so far but want to see if he is effective in competitive games.

For a free transfer he's defo worth a go.
