lol As devasted as I am to be wrong, not the first time I've been made a fool of mate and certainly won't be the last.

Part of the fun of football isn't it, making a judgement on a player/manager and then them proving you horrendously wrong.

To be fair, if he is boss for us, it's a win/win.

"Oh that lad is rubbish..." He turns out to be rubbish, you're proven right.

"Oh that lad is rubbish..." He is utterly phenomenal and Everton end up improving significantly. You have fun times.

Maybe just that Sherwood had Villa so wound up to play Spurs and stick two fingers up at Levy that they all played well. Cleverly would need to show this alleged level of performance on a regular basis to win me and a lot of others over.

As I've said, I'd rather we swerve him but if Martinez is convinced he can and will do a job for us, then if he's signed, I'll look forward to him proving me wrong.

I dont think so. Martinez has bought a raw talent, despite his international experience.

I believe RM has handled Besic very well this season: allowed him a good bit of experience of the PL and EL, but then has benched him. Sometimes it's a good thing to be watching from the dugout and getting that vantage point taking stuff in.

I expect him to start a lot more games next season. He's on track in his development, imo.

don't think thats the case mate. he was gushing about him in the summer when covering the WC. He probably is just easing him in game time wise to help with his transition. I think he's going to be a great player but he's still young and went from playing CB in Hungary to CM in the Prem, hardly an easy transition.
