Constantly inventing new ways not to pass a ball forward. Mastering the art of playing defensive mid without actually doing any defending. Brilliant really. We've done well to hoarde so many together. Wonder why no one else wanted them?

Well he played superbly as a box-to-box towards the end of the season? For me, he hasn't got the passing range to be a sitter. He's there to disrupt play and lay it off to Barry/Besic/Gibson who have the passing range. But when he does that, there's nothing wrong with his bursts forward as they're often pretty effective (e.g. Swansea (away last season) Newcastle and Man Utd).

Hes a talented boy, nothing wrong with trying to expand his game, I just think hes a superb DM.
