Think we will see a few cameos from tom until McCarthy returns and tom can sort his achilies out. The nature if the injury is that a few days after playing it feels ok but gets worse as you go through the game. Once McCarthy returns tom can rest it for about a month and get it right.

Stunk the place out again today

Pea roller shots
Gave away free kicks away in dangerous positions (having done it twice against City)
No real tackles or blocks of any note
Passed the ball off the pitch.

Absolutely rank

But played a lovely ball to Lennon to set up the first, nice and early to settle any nerves there may have been and quietened their supporters.

You've cut and pasted that in the Cleverley thread by mistake mate.

the Kone/McCarthy/Stones/Osman/Coleman/Pienaar/Gibson threads are below this one.

I think for now he will be a player who will offer a steady performance rising to good when the team is playing well, but disappearing a bit or a lot when the going gets tough.

However that is just for now, as I reckon he has to improve now he has more of a settled situation than he has for a while.
