More to do with some stubborn old guy being completely incapable of accepting others opinions.
Those stubborn grown ups with their opinions based on evidence. You should stand your ground even if it means no playing on your football games till you've had your dinner.

I did mention his goalscoring record as 1 in 7 through his career earlier but again why worry about what people are saying when you've got a point to prove.
Don't have problem with anyone's opinion on any player. Just feel like it's okay to point out when people are continually making stuff up

OK mate.

What? The fact that Cleverley has such a poor goal scoring record is something that can be positively quantified, and it absolutely will have an effect on his monetary value as a footballer. OK, so now that you agree that the idea of him being in the top bracket of midfielders that are worth well over 20 million is preposterous, how much do you think he is worth? I have already said that I think he is worth less than 10 million.

He isn't and never has been in a team to 'score goals' mate. He's there as a link up player.

Pienaar's goal record, for example, is pretty poor, but he was mainly there to link up and create.

Cleverley's record, with us, is fine for me so far. One goal and three assists now, which is more than Kev or Lennon, for example. I know he's had more minutes, but a lot of that has been playing in a central role where he just isn't as effective or disciplined.

He's much better in an advanced role on the left. His combination play with Barkley is brilliant at times as well.

Only two managers wanted him in the summer. One was Martinez, who has rapidly lost support this season for edging towards being the goon who took Wigan down and away from the future Barca manager we signed 3 years ago. The other was Tim Sherwood.
Hardly a ringing endorsement in the footballing world.

Again if you don't like him why not supply evidence from what you've seen rather than speculating on something you are really not clear on.
There was open interest from Southampton as well as Villa but he'd made it clear he wanted to come here so who knows what interest there would have been. And why should that influence your opinion any more than Ferguson rating him highly when you are now watching him week after week.
You are watching aren't you?

And that was when he was on a free transfer. United tried selling him for actual money before he went to Villa and nobody wanted to know. His market value clearly is an indicator of his quality, and if he went up for sale tomorrow he would only be of interest to lower and mid table clubs.

Then theres another Manager, this Manager gave him his debut, he also gave him 2 contracts.

Can you guess this Managers name, I will give you a clue, hes the probably the greatest Manager thats ever lived.

and he fits into our team quite well at a price of nothing...so if we do sell or we don't sell we are still on a winner.
