Parker turned us down for more money at the Barcodes which makes him a Grade A pube.

No it doesnt. It makes him someone getting the best deal for himself in a career that might last 15 years. Not like he has some attachment to us, unless I am mistaken.

Spurs are a great side and deserve to be in the top 4 but wow that still feels like 2 points lost.

Don't really understand this whole siege mentality, when we got the second we just invited pressure and gave them the ball. The best defense is possession, you might not score but you certainly won't concede as long as you have the ball. It was only near the end when we started to counter and we almost scored a few goals from that.

Great performance from Anichebe, should've had a goal but otherwise did very well. Osman was hit and miss, should've stayed in the middle. I can't believe it but Baines got skinned. I've never seen him dominated like that before and I don't even think Walker was that good. Howard had a good game but I think he could've done better to start counters quicker. Barkley was a bit anonymous but for the few minutes he was on in the second half he looked very bright, he just needs more time. Mirallas is looking an absolute steal with every passing game.

Spot on mate. Fair play to Moyes/scouts on that one.

****in' amateur defending for the goal. That's what cost us 2 points today. The way Walker bummed Baines for the goal is very disappointing. How the hell can a team be unbalanced, and get knicked in a sort of counter, after attacking with only 2 or 3 players???

And that chance wasted by Anichebe, right after the equalizer...
Surely you mean for the first goal? Both centre halves let it past them. Trly shocking defending. Much worse than the second goal.

would of been a great result had we not pissed away points against teams like Norwich/QPR/southampton/Reading etc. which has made it a bad result IMO, whilst it is possible to stay scrape 5th I highly doubt it with just 7 games to go with 3 of them tough away games. Mirallas was class, Osman was ****e, barkley was poor and that substituion of Kev for Naismith was really poor we needed him and his pace on the break imagine when we had anichebe on the break with kev running into space. Even Oviedo should of got ahead of naismith

Disappointing that with three centrebacks we gave Spurs' only striker all the time in the world in the middle of the penalty area. If Vic had put his chance away we could still have come away with all three points.

I suppose we can't complain really, given that we were without Pienaar and Fellaini. I thought Moyes might have brought Naismith or Oviedo on earlier for Vic to help pack the midfield and protect the fullback, but he was holding the ball up really well.

The tactics didn't quite work. Coleman and Baines both looked afraid of getting forward and we did look outnumbered in midfield. It was surprising that Anichebe got so many one on ones with the centreback in the end and we could have made more of that.

BECAUSE, we couldnt hold the 2-1 lead. Tottenham were without Bale, Defoe and Lennon. We were just giving them the ball as we always do when in the lead. THATS WHY we have the right to bitch.

Spot on.

1) We played poorly in the first half but scored from a well-executed set piece.

2) In the second half we did nothing to protect Baines and Coleman from being pegged back deep and therefore they both ceased to be factors in the attacking play. Moyes had seen this unfold in the first half and did nothing to correct it.

3) Heitinga, Osman and Gibson offered NOTHING in attack. In fact, they couldn't even maintain possession and move the ball upfield. Heitinga starting in midfield was a tactical mistake and although I can't fault his defensive work it doesn't mean it was the right choice to play him in that position. Hitzlspreger should have come on.

4) I agreed with Barkley coming off, but he should have been replaced with Oviedo instead of Jelavic. We needed Someone in front of Baines to afford him some protection AND to give him the freedom to bomb forward occasionally. Oviedo was the correct choice because he can cover LB and his pace MIGHT have forced the Angry bird back a bit. But instead, we carried on with LM effectively vacant.

5) Second goal was beautiful. Mirallas is going to be big for us, but for me he has to play at 10 (assuming the 451 / 4231 we normally play). Playing him in a free-ish role higher up the field, forcing defenders to respect his pace, will create space for others. And we can play people in front of Baines and Coleman who are more willing to cover back and cover those two when they move forward.

6) Utterly sick of watching Jags and Distin HOOFING. If we don't have a CM who will offer himself for a short pass, and can play the ball forward himself, then why is Hitz not getting a game?

Gutted we couldn't hold the lead, but considering the tactics we employed and the fact that Barkley, Osman and Gibson all had AWFUL games, I'm surprised we had the lead to start with. We just sat there for 75 minutes booting the ball away and shouting "have another go" at them. They were there for the taking, and we didn't go for it. Liverpool dropped points and we failed to take advantage.

Just back from the game, who died?

We did well today, don't deny.....it wasn't a great game in my eyes but there were enough positives to take away......

Big Vic won most things and held the ball up....Moyes has backed a winner, just shame about the save at the end....
Mirralas a proper live wire, they can't stop him ace.......
I think Heitinga and Gibson patrolled the midfield brilliantly, breaking up the play and finding the outlet.....
And Baines, ace as usual when attacking..... but you are whining about the goal, but he got stripped and was out of position a few times, caught too far upfield it was great to see him against Kyle Walker, who should be No1 for england.

The downsides where:
As usual when we take the lead we sit back........deeper and deeper...and so it comes as no surprise when the equaliser comes...
Osman was knackered and was playing too central when we switched 442
Barkley just needs to learn he doesn't get that extra time on the ball....Otherwise I liked his enthusiasm, positioning and he is good in the air
WTF has happened to jelly?

Heads up....still in it.......lets give em all hell......and a little more belief.....

BTW Adebayor is poo, but he turned up today.......is he up for a new contract?
