Win vs palace a win vs swansea and hope others drop points and 2 of city, chelsea, rs and arse wont be in the qf, then hope its arse and city and they get drawn together

Yup utd games spun my mood back to positive

this is totally correct. we are playing great football, build ups are great but we don't have a top striker that knows where to be and put the ball in the net. we get lots of chances, just not clinical in front of goal. If we had a surez, aguero in this lineup, we would be right up there in the top 3 or 4.

Think I mentioned it during the match, I love a bit of Barry and McCarthy but are they really what we need when we are chasing the game?

Any thoughts?

Earlier in the season our games were often games of two halves - one great if a bit toothless and one poor. Our first half against Spurs at Goodison I thought we were dreadful.

This time we were dominant in the first half and unlucky not to go in leading, possibly with a Osman hattrick! Second half they were better and we dropped off especially after the subs but the main thing that made the difference was that when we made a stupid defensive mistake they had a +100k/week striker to make the most of it.

We are much better off than when the season started in playing style, squad depth and mentality, despite a shoestring budget. It may or may not be enough to get Europe this season or silverware but it is good progress to that goal.

Good post and welcome to GOT.

Spurs - One decent chance - Goal
Everton - a few chances and a few half chances - No goal

The difference??? Who was playing up front for either side.

In the end ste mate we actually played miles better than when they came to our patch, just one moment of concentration lost and one decision not given cost us

Clear that we need traore to show us why bobby wanted him fast tho, as nais isnt gonna do anything special, and as 4th choice striker cant expect him.to really, played well today for the most part, but in our system hes not suited, hed play a lot better with 2 up front tbh ala the wall hull play and would be decent at thst level

Totally agree. Where do you think we'd be in the league now with a Suarez in our team?

Watched the match in a central London pub with Mr &Mrs Clint Planet who are both very sound. Missed a goal scorer in the first half and lost shape dreadfully in the second - a 1-0 loss was always on the cards after failing to capitalise on early domination...
