Watched the match in a central London pub with Mr & Mrs Clint Planet who are both very sound. Missed a goal scorer in the first half and lost shape dreadfully in the second - a 1-0 loss was always on the cards after failing to capitalise on early domination...

Good to hear that.

Blues watching the match with other Blues. Don't get to do that over here very much.

Think I mentioned it during the match, I love a bit of Barry and McCarthy but are they really what we need when we are chasing the game?

Any thoughts?

We need a tadic type mate, still think we missed out on defour myself like as he isnt lightweight vut has that attacking side to his game too, im.trying to think within our price too like

Football's built on defence, most teams struggle to score goals and whoever makes fewer mistakes generally wins. Our number one mistake this season has been passing the ball to Osman when he's under pressure, it's led to so many chances and goals against this season. When you don't have good attacking players you simply can't afford to give away cheap goals at the other end.

Tbh think that a couple of our players would have punched Suarez for his antics so don't think he would have been the best of additions :-) But think even a half decent second striker to spell Lukaku would have seen us convert a couple if those draws to wins....

I would. I'd hate to have him in our side.

I would obviously as he played for the RS but If he never had played for them and we bought him from Ajax I would've took him. He can single handedly win games and If that meant us getting a bad reputation It wouldn't bother me in the slightest.

He's so completely devoid of class though.

I mean, who bites another person beyond the age of 3 or 4?

He scores a tonne, but someone like that does damage to the reputation of the brand in my opinion.

Sickener.

Undone all the good work of the 1st half by falling asleep for a set piece. Never the same after the subs and Barkley struggled to get into the game. Then we are denied a clear cut pen by our old refereeing nemesis which quadruples the frustration because we deserved a point MINIMUM.

There is no point in slating RM for his team selection as the 1st half performance showed it was correct, given what he had available to him. Can't believe Traore didn't come on at some point though. And as if we didn't know already, today showed YET AGAIN that 1) Mirallas is NOT a striker, and 2) Naismith's ONLY position is as a striker.

Ah well on we go to the next game. It's not over yet by a long shot. Today showed that we are a better team than Spurs even though we have nothing to show for it. Onwards and upwards.

We're just not there yet. Other teams have that one or two guys upfront who punish one mistake. We don't. We need a nearly world class striker period.

In the end ste mate we actually played miles better than when they came to our patch, just one moment of concentration lost and one decision not given cost us

Clear that we need traore to show us why bobby wanted him fast tho, as nais isnt gonna do anything special, and as 4th choice striker cant expect him.to really, played well today for the most part, but in our system hes not suited, hed play a lot better with 2 up front tbh ala the wall hull play and would be decent at thst level

Played well enough mate. Got no problems with our general play. We where the better side. But up-front is the only position you can't substitute graft for class.

A good goalscorer and we'd have won that today!

The injuries have completely scuppered out momentum. Even when we had a set back prior to the injuries the team had the belief we'd go out next time and get a result. We've had to make so many changes all over the park over the last couple of months that gaining that momentum back has been difficult. What we now need is a couple of really good back to back results and getting our main boys match fit and raring for the final push this season. We have that perfect opportunity in our next two home games to get that flow back. The perfect and plausible response now would be two wins and an impressive performance against Palace/Swansea.
I must admit, I was in fume mode right after the game and actually I see no harm in it from a personal point of view. Lets off a bit of steam, so I can understand why people come on here and have a little moan. GOT is like our Dr. Melfi.
