I would obviously as he played for the RS but If he never had played for them and we bought him from Ajax I would've took him. He can single handedly win games and If that meant us getting a bad reputation It wouldn't bother me in the slightest.

he was a tit before he got the RS. this is where we differ.

if we had his calibre of player in out team we'd be 4th with ease probably touching 3rd tbh. we have a pretty decent record vs the other top 7 teams and he isn't anywhere near good enough to be a match winner against those teams, but he would have helped us pick up a couple of more points from those as well as quite a few more points against the weaker teams we drew blanks against as this is his forte.

all irrelevant tbh because we'll never be lucky enough to just throw £85m at 4 strikers and hope 1 or 2 come good.

lets just hope we use all those pennies we've saved for the summer well.

He had a really good first half, I'm not going to keep repeating it. He laid Osman off a few times (who should've scored at LEAST once) and should've been played in by Kev, he did absolutely nothing wrong. Then second half he got pushed out wide. Sick of Nais getting stick. Going to start throwing negs around soon.

+1

He played well, did Naisy.

Nice to see Jamie Carragher sticking up for Everton on SSN

"Everton were very unlucky and will be very disappointed with the result," said Carragher on Sky Sports.

"It was quick thinking from Kyle Walker - that free kick was five yards out in the wrong position, you could say they got an unfair advantage because they went on to score but when you take a free-kick back you get away with it.

"If you took the free kick five yards forward then I think you would be in trouble. But Jagielka and Distin are just not watching the ball - they are experienced defenders and you are told as a kid never to switch off.

"Credit to Walker for seeing it and Adebayor - well that was Drogba-like and you want to see more of that type of thing from him; using his strength and power."

Carragher also believes that Everton should have got a penalty after Etienne Capoue caught Seamus Coleman in stoppage time, but referee Mark Clattenburg was unmoved.

"That was a penalty, Capoue stuck his leg out, Coleman's got there first and is brought down. It is a blatant penalty.

"Everton were very unlucky - never mind the penalty claim but they were dominant throughout; Spurs should get a massive lift from this game -they have not played well but have beaten one of their rivals."

Laying the ball off for Osman and being on the end of a pass that never was doesn't warrant a quality performance in my view. Maybe he didn't do all that much wrong but he didn't exactly add much to our game, either. I'm not scapegoating him, he does his best like. But he isn't what we need to be where we want to be.

totally agree mate. I thought he was excellent for nigh on 60 minutes today. Made excellent runs, kept it simple with the ball, created a couple of openings. Looked awful once he got switched left but thats the managers fault not his. Our problem isn't the strikers, its the bloody midfield fannying around with it, under hitting, over hitting passes, shooting when it aint on, not shooting when its on. Our decision in the final 3rd is poor. Last week Nais got put through and bang, goal. We don't create enough for the front men to begin with. Mirallas, 4-5 times on that run he could have put Nais through. Thats why we got beat because of crap decisions like that. Osman was no where near as bad as folk make out, should have got at least a goal plus again didn't have killer pass. We need a quality am who can thread balls through an eye of a needle and then we will put games to bed swiftly.

im not angry and im not dissapointed, because i know that come summer, we are gonna buy some class players and we will be turning over the likes of spurs and liverpool on a regular basis.

My view from the away section of WHL.
Howard - 6. Some question with a goal. But ok all the game.
Coleman - 6. Same as Howard. Played good but surely made a mistake with a goal.
Jagielka - 7. Solid.
Distin - 6. He did ok.
Baines - 7. Was dangerous as usual.
Osman - 6. Up and down. Some fantastic touches and some shocking mistakes, but overalls did a good job.
Barry - 6. He can play better, I am sure.
McCarthy - 6. Not bad.
Mirallas - 6. Centre forward is not for him.
Pienaar - 6. His substitution was a mistake IMO.
Naismith - 5. When he played on the left, it was shocking.

Deulofeu - 7. Looked dangerous every time when he was with the ball.
Barkley - 4. No comments.
McGeady - 5. I still think he is not good enough for our club.

Martinez - 5. So many options with a subs and blew it away. Wrong subs and too late.
EVERTON - 6. Very good first half and overage second. Still don't deserved to lose.

Away fans - 9. Singing all the game, very good support.

P.S. I ve visited four games. 2 wins (Stevenage and Villa) and 2 defeats (spurs and site). Will be at the Palace game and then will fly back to Russia. I thought that we will make more of this games but I was wrong.

Just home. I know the derby ya have to live with the reds waffling on but for me that was harder to accept than the derby defeat. Win that and Every one would have took notice. We lost due to terrible luck and now every one is telling me 'see, told you Everton would drop off eventually'. In a game that meant so much how cruel can it get. I think I seen Everton play terrible and win a game once in the last ten years and that was a game v Blackburn when we got a jammy pen a few years back. Every win is hard fought and most loses tend to come down to terrible luck, bad decisions by ref. Only now and then do we get beat and deserve it outright , pool and city this term. But I had a feeling it would be an unfair defeat today it usually happens in these make or break games we find ourselves in. Can you imagine us getting a flukey win today? I would not have believing my eyes, we do it the hard way or no way at Everton.

My heart is breaking.

those ratings are way too harsh mate - i'm sure delafeou did anything when he came on apart from fall over twice way too easily, got given a cheap free kick for one and the second they nearly broke and secured the game.

to be fair though Jack he was one of the only players that actually looked like they wanted to do something. Osman should have got more than a 6 tbh!

Very critical of our performance here
