To be honest I think our overall play wasn't too bad, but then again Spurs were poor, which the Sky commentators remarked on several times. Massive result for them, no question.

I still stand by what I said though, we'll never be good enough for 4th until we sort out our chronic lack of cutting edge in the final third, even against shaky defenses. We play far too slowly in our build up and leave ourselves with far too much to do and whenever we do get the ball forward quickly we're called back for offside constantly...

So frustrating.

He shouldve have a hattrick before that like.

The problem is the striker and lack of it.

Mirallas isn't a striker. He even disappeared in the latter stages of the 2nd half. Naismith did well, but was never played through.

Different game if Lukaku plays.
The fact is he did not score hatrick tho did he my friend the man is a pile of steaming dog t***.

Big home FA Cup tie next week, were two wins off a Champions League spot with twelve games to play and some key players returning from injury to come.

We just went to Spurs and outplayed them but didn't have a fit striker. We will soon.

Too many lids writing the season off mate.

Finally someone talking sense, why does everyone panic so much, yeahh we didn't play well second half but there is no chance we deserved to lose, we are getting our players back from injury.

Top 6 could be seen as an OK achievement considering it's Bobby's first season and we've been adapting to a different style of play. Plus we still have a chance of a cup win

Naismith, osman and bobby cost us the game.
Naismith simply not good enough and should not be starting.
Osman blew our best chances and again isn't good enough to start.
Bobby for starting both of them and the bringing mcgeady on instead of traore when we were crying out for a presence upfront.

Should of won that game nevermind getting a draw.

Barry puts the ball down for them turns round and walks away. stand over the ball until the team is set.

This.

Barry, whom played very well, should have had more sense than to gently tap the ball away.

Stand over it as you suggest, or kick it away up the field.

Experienced pros shouldn't be doing what he did.

Palace at home for us with Spurs away at Newcastle.

So much still to play for.

Because the whole point of the bench is to have OPTIONS. Martinez knows the players and their effects better than any of us on here so he obviously thought Deulofeu and McGeady would have more of an effect. I imagine if Traore had come on and played absolutely awfully then you'd be having a go at Martinez for throwing him at such a deep end or something.

What OPTIONS is he then if he obviously ain't fit enough to come on??? Otherwise why hasn't he?

I wouldn't at all as he would have made the right decision bringing him on as we are 1-0 down in an important game, you need a striker on the pitch

United will be breathing down our neck in a couple of hours...7th is on the cards!!

i don't think united have been above us all season. we've proven all season long we're a better team than them, especially when at full strength which we should be at for the final 10-11 games. we won't finish below them.

I'm not sure how much I can stress how gash Spurs were. They are a seriously average team. With a signing or two in the summer we'll be dispatching this lot easily.

I'm not annoyed at the manager, the players or the football we played. I'm just annoyed at the sheer predictability of this result. And that we really, genuinely didn't deserve it.

The worldy saves, the jammy goal from the first defensive switch off of the match, the whole close but not quite-ness of the attack, the stonewall pen turned down, conceding at the worst possible time. All of this is just quintessential Everton. Only thing missing was someone getting injured.

Pass pass pass pass pass pass pass lose the ball conceded

Pass pass pass pass pass pass pass win a corner out swing it loos possession

Pass pass pass passsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
