I don't agree with that. See my post in that thread but the fans are at their wits ends. It was the first day of the season anyone can see the place is about erupt. To go into the first 10 games that we have without signings could seriously put us under threat of being relegated.

No, everyone thought they'd be boss and for 2 mill each the risk was minimal. Spending 15 mill on a guy bouncing from club to club who would rather go to Stoke over us is stupid. As stupid as spending 15 mill on Austin. Almost as stupid as giving a 33 year old a 3 year permanent deal.

This is what Evertonians do best. We try and talk ourselves out of being gutted by coming up with a few excuses.

Lets all be honest here. The majority and its a good majority of blues, losing out to Shaqiri hurts. He's a player we would of loved here and would of got us buzzing if he signs/ed. He's a player that would of improved out team, let alone squad.

In all honesty Rony Lopes is a great player and can bring the same impact as Shaqiri. Only 19 tho so he could be a bit naive. Only a Twitter rumour tho there is no articles relating us to him.

Gourcuff on free was a good shout by Aaron. Would fill in nice for this season and buy time for Roberto to find a younger player.

Really hoping Everton find some money somewhere. The product on Saturday left a lot to be desired.
