Now we have Cleverly who likes to put in a cross from deep - and we also need to replace Barry especially if Besic isn't going to make it.

I rate Fellaini highly and from what I've seen of Belgium's games he can link well with Lukaku. He would also give us a physical presence which we currently do not have. We're a small side at a time when the trend seems to be big guys who have power and pace. Compare us to Chelsea 'live', the difference is very noticeable ... practically men vs boys.

I agree with Yakblue .. I don't think Martinez seems him as a fit though .. Napoleon complex ?

I think the Baines injury has forced the managers hand a little with regards to Lennon.

The reason we don't play 2 out and out wingers is because our full backs are two of the best in the league. By playing one winger, usually ahead of Coleman, space is opened up for him to run into. We play a wide midfielder on the left to try and get ball out to Baines in a crossing position like we saw with Cleverly and Baines in Pre-S.

Now Baines is out, Martinez will abandon that I think and just bring Lennon in to try and stretch the play and beat the full-back. After all, Galloway and Oviedo aren't nearly the full backs that Baines is so we need to change tactics accordingly.

Lennon is tried, tested for approx 4mil is an astute buy.

Please tell me how many goals we score a season compared to the top teams. Now tell me how Lennon who averages 3 goals a season is going to help fix this. With his endless assists? Dreaming.

£4M? On Lennon? That's what we paid for Deulofeu.

Whereas Blick (Swiss paper) are saying it's all done between Shaqiri and Stoke, but Bayern also have to sign off on the deal as it was a complicated deal that took Shaqiri to Inter in the first place (loan with fixed purchase option this summer)...

Dear lord no, enough slow crabs in this team already. A midfield three of Fellaini Barry and McCarthy with Cleverley and Naismith on the wings is the stuff of absolute nightmares.
