Evans on the cheap as back up would be one thing

Evans as one of our 3 marquee signings would chill my very blood, especially when we could have Van Dijk instead who is younger and has a better upside plus potentially huge sell on value

Surely Evans would be cheap, I was honestly think we may even get him for a nominal sum like 1 million.

He's out of contract soon isn't he and clearly surplus.

Hes skillful, exciting and doesnt mind a shot from 30 yards. Id take him at the right price. Dont know what that price is though

Yeah it depends how you view him. He's like a defender version of Berbatov, in that if you watch him in short bursts he can look a bit ponderous and just wanders about; but the truth is he positions so well he barely has to run.

If you watch him regularly though he's rapid over short distances and cuts things out again and again. He's one of those players who I think will get better playing in better sides against better opposition.

I'm not saying it isn't a gamble but from what I've seen of him he's a bit of a no-brainer; especially if Stones did go.

I'd honestly take him. He's decent. Although he would probably cost a fair bit, considering he's English and Spurs won't sell him cheap.

It's got to be better then getting an injury and having to play square pegs in round holes in Cleverley on the wing.

Said this before. ive heard from a good few celtic season ticket holders that he is decent in the SPL but once he plays in europe he is bang average. They all prefered Denayer who they had on loan from city last season.

I'd rather have Lennon than Townsend. He's basically an English McGeady - does little 90% of the time, but gets rave reviews when he does simply because he's English.

At least Lennon is a workhorse who'll give you a bit of consistency.

My main concern is he won't get time to train properly with the team what with his work finding a cure for Alzheimer's, ending poverty and clearing all those land mines.

If he comes here I just hope our fans don't hound him to much like the press did with the queen of hearts.
