Not at all - every player has their price, and Everton thus far have played "the game" like if a bid came in we couldn't refuse he'd go.

But Martinez just changed the game with what he just said - he just flat out said it's not happening. He's either made a colossal error or he means what he said, and his body language stated to me that he knows the score and wanted it ended.

He has just clearly said, he is confident of 3 new signings. Therefore, the board are about to cough. Although you should capture this rare moment.

That particular one struck me as canny tactics to drive the price up. Something we didn't see with Rooney, but certainly formed part of the Lescott and Felliani dealings when it was evident they wanted out.

We played United beautifully with the Felliani deal.

There is zero evidence that we've been actually interested in any of these players we've "MISSED OUT ON". The newspapers here a rumour of a player wanting to come to the premier league or his agent says they're in talks with a number of clubs, so they take a look at our short on numbers squad and say "didn't bobby say he was after a playmaker? Get that headline going lar, "Everton Make Offer For Shaquiri"

Then when it doesn't come off, plumbs like you start whinging on GOT.

And the cycle resumes.

Erm it's fairly well documented we were in for Ogbonna for starters. Considering I haven't and am not whinging about anything you seem slightly misinformed? I was just saying out of all the daily speculation in world football for all clubs I haven't got a clue who's available in that position we'd even go for.

Moyes never did what Martinez just did. Martinez just acknowledged the interest, acknowledged the bids, but said he's not going anywhere and "that's the end of it."

He just said "we're not selling" and "that's the end of it" - those exact words - so how much clearer can he possibly be?

Moyes on Rooney. "I am not here to sell my best players and Wayne wants to stay. Wayne will continue at Everton."
