Don't know why I thought Stones would want to stay another season to establish himself a bit more. He left his childhood club the first chance he got just to move to our academy, makes sense he would leave first chance that came along.

City have more than enough defenders. United is a possible, but let's be honest - he's going to Chelsea.

There have got to be some more options out there.

Breel Embolo as a striker (best young striker in Europe we could realistically get)
Anders Herrera as a midfielder (completely out of favour but would suit us ideally)
Denayer from City. Buy with buy back clause (as they won't sell outright)
Lennon for the hard work and energy he brings that we sometimes lack

On the right. Messi in the hole and Rakitic and Busquets in midfield. Iniesta doesn't have too many seasons left.

However realistically for now both him and the other new signings are squad players. Barca need them because right now they have no depth.

what is the situation with Thomas Vermaelen at Barca? he doesn't appear to be getting a look in and has played in the Prem. Might be an option and better one than Evans. Only concern is his injury record.
