I was hoping we'd have our players in early to try and swerve a slow start, but it's been disappointingly slow again.

We haven't strengthened at all and it feels like we're waiting till late august again just to save on wages.

Think about it this way, we got 30mil extra tv revenue last season and this season and then NEXT season we're getting another 30-40mil on top of that and 95% of our transfers are spaced out in payments.


But we have no money...?

If anything we are weaker than at the end of last season. Delboy replaces Lennon, Cleverely in midfield and now two defenders short.

the defenders we lost were useless, del vs lennon is arguable and cleverley is better than nobody and was showing good form for villa

Yes, but it's sounds like the extra money for last season doesn't hit the bank account until August, so we've borrowed against it to spend last window.

So to get more this window we'd need to do the same again.

We all know how horrible payday loans are, and here we are doing it for 30+ million.

We almost have to not spend for one year to get out of the cycle. And because everyone else is doing it, that's not a good option either.

So I'm hoping these facts are wrong.

What evidence do you have that this theory has any basis at all in fact other than perhaps you hallucinated about seeing it on an episode of Scooby Doo once.

We'd be better off taking a chance on Browning than going with Barry. Barry would be guaranteed to fail at CB. Anyone with pace would humiliate him.
