Because I do
Zat.Who tickles your fancy as a new playmaker?
what I loathe is the idea that if a manager wants a player they just go out and buy them. We have targets, of course we do. But you can't force a player to sign for you, nor can you force a team to sell. We aren't Chelsea, we can't lay out huge sums of money for players who may or may not be a success.I loathe this line of argument.
No realistic person expects us to have all our business done this early, but it is crucial we get all of our key business done before the season starts, which is in one week.
So either we have got our key business done, or we're trying to save a few mil at the risk of starting the season poorly. Not sure which is more terrifying.
If after watching a pre season of Kone and Naismith Martinez doesn't bring another forward in he's lost the plot. Promote Browning to 3rd choice CB and spend our budget on a Playmaker (vital) and a 2nd choice striker.
If Martinez had sense Mcaleny would be promoted to the bench and Naismith punted for £5-6 mil whilst we can still sell him on.
I'm not arsed about signing anyone if I'm honest,
Don't get me wrong wouldn't be devastated if we added and would look forward to watching new players, but I think Arsne Wenger usually has the right of it, think it's very difficult to improve on what we have and I would equally be as happy if some of the young lads were given an opportunity.
I see no point doing it for the sake of it. SSN has a lot to answer for. Think we are decentlly placed.
Signing players is a fraction of what football is all about: see sh1te red.
