Sportsmail revealed talks were ongoing last month and the 19-year-old has arrived to train with Everton ahead of a prospective move from the Argentine club.

Andrade is a left-footed playmaker, who models his game on former Villarreal and Argentina midfielder Joan Riquelme.

A former star of the World U17 Championships, he has been watched by Barcelona and Atletico Madrid but Everton hope to beat off competition should he continue to impress.

He's a year and half younger than McCarthy which makes him older than McCarthy in his first season here and McCarthy was arguably our best player that year.

23 isn't a kid in football terms. He's been in and around the Barca first team for 4 years now. Probably the best team ever to have played. It's like Cleverly and Evans if he were to join and every other Man U reject we sign. It's only when they come and play for us we realize how good they are.
