Is there an official/legit reason why we have no money this transfer window ? I wasn't expecting mega transfers but £4m total spend is kinda ridiculous given how thin our squad is

We will have money to spend in a few weeks when we take out a new loan from Vibrac. Usually the back end of August.

While says we have no money ?

Since far we've made enquiries totaling £20M for a CD and No 10.

Thus paranoid knicker wetting is getting ridiculous. Bobby said early on that the remaining transfers would happen at the end of the window

Any truth to the link to tomas andrade from river plate which was further back in the thread

What's with the love in with that Quintero? He's linked with Norwich and a few jarg italian teams, that might be his level, a far way from ours. Never seen him play but there must be a reason why Porto want him out so badly, it's a no from me
His jarg YouTube compilation is much better than most and if Norwich can afford him so can we

I remember seeing him at the U20 world cup a while ago and he just looked like he was on another level, he had amazing vision, passing range, shooting and carried the ball well. Of course it's impossible for me to judge him from that but he looked like the player of the tournament. I think when players are that outstanding at a young age the only way they get derailed is through an injury. He'd be perfect for us with potential to be 'werldclass' IMO. Porto shelled out for him and they know how to pick a player...

Trying to remain optimistic, I look at Palace signing Sako and Tomlin going to Bournemouth. There was no indicators in the press or on Twitter etc about those, so by that reasoning I am kidding myself that we will have some new signings before Saturday, and if not then definitely before the end of the window.

We have money. We are just waiting for prices to become realistic again - pretty much all the transfers going on at the moment are going at silly prices (with the exception of Dzeko for £14m... but city would have upped the price for a Prem team, presumably).

Oh and there are two things that, in isolation, are absolute red herrings when evaluating a club's transfer activity: net spend and total spend. Value for money trumps them both.
