You should have stayed on the plane for another hour or so and gone to Cape Verde where the weather should be a bit better. Not a lot to do there mind but ok for some winter sun.

….yep, we’ve done that but we’re going with my daughter, son-in-law & grandson & they’re not overly keen on going back. We’re in a very nice all inclusive so we’ll be well fed & watered.

Not very exotic but booked Albufeira for May with 8 friends over the last pl games of the season. 5 nights all inclusive. Some sun to look forward to in this cold weather.

Got multiple weddings (including my own) going on next year so trying to book a holiday will be tricky. Planning a stag next September and a 'mini-moon' in late October but still seems so far away!

As long as the trains play ball, going Paris this coming weekend. Anyone know if getting single tickets for the metro is easy enough?
Probably only use two lines to get around tbh.

Yes mate it's a nice place. We went pre-covid and stayed near the new strip. I went with the wifes family shortly before that and stayed in old town. Plenty for everyone.

You can still buy single tickets or a "carnet' of 10 or 20 tickets at metro stations or in a 'Tabac' cafe/cigarette shop up to end of year but then no more paper tickets

Do you have to validate the ticket at each end of the journey? Will a single ticket allow you to jump on/off anywhere along the same line? Thanks

Copenhagen is a good getaway. Been twice this year and would go back again and again. Works out cheaper than visiting London for a couple of days.
