I love Copenhagen, Tivoli is brilliant.
We've had gentle but continual snowfall today in my corner of Sussex. It's rare that it ever arrives, and rarer still that it settles and doesn't immediately melt... Looking out over a proper wintery view has got me well and truly in the mood for our skiing trip in January - absolutley cannot wait!

Once you don't leave the metro station, that 1 ticket you could stay all day in the metro system underground ? your in Montrematre so you ll mainly be on Line 2 and Line 1 that connect easy enough to everywhere else you want to see and do ? A 'carnet' of 20 tickets would be plenty for weekend which would cost you about 18 euros and cheaper if you buy as you use ? Do you know exactly what you want to see or do? Montmartre is nice spot but can get dodgey in evening and lots of scammers as tourist spot trying to force you to buy drawings etc ? pick pockets around too ?

My mind is numb here and I can't think properly. I'm going on holiday next week, coming home 1st Jan from Manchester airport and originally the plan was to get the train/coach replacement home. They've just cancelled all these now.

Which bit is suprising is it ever not warm?
….I thought it might be pleasant but it’s actually quite hot. Not a place we’d considered much but certainly one for us in Jan & Feb. We went to Madeira a few years ago (a bit further North I know) & the weather was dreadful in May.

Currently out in the French Alps. Disturbingly warm for this time of year, ranging between 5c and 9c today. Still some snow on the highest pistes, but it feels odd skiing with so few layers. Forecast for tomorrow is 0c - fingers crossed!
