Going to Cork this weekend had to give my ticket for Luton game to a mate missus got date mixed up..but still looking forward to it never been to Ireland before..
thinking of goin this year whats party/bar/club scene like?Easily one of my favourite cities, alongside Seville. Heading back to Lisbon in November myself, going to take advantage of remote working and stay for 2 weeks which should be bliss.
Depends what you're into though mate. LX Factory is a class little spot, decent food options and trendy boutiques.
Sintra like previously poster mentioned is good although could be a bit miserable if it's raining.
Their transport system is top quality but you can walk most places. Get your boots on and just wander through the old town and meandering streets.
Pink Street is a great spot for drinks - it's a little different.
Park Rooftop is a rooftop bar with great views of the city although the service is a bit shoddy. Not bad for 1-2 drinks.
If you're into tattoos, Alla Prima Lisboa are incredible.

Been there once years ago for a go karting comp. All I remember is the track and the big waterpark!Swerve Salou.

Yeah, Sintra is really cool (spent a couple days looking around there when I went). Belem is nice to check out down on the coast, if you're in to old castles and forts etc, plus the castle up above the city, nice views from there.I was a big fan of sintra when I went there. And eating bacalhao a bras
I'm probably being harsh on Salou tbf. We cycled through and stopped off for lunch one day (we were further down the coast). It's a bit more commercialised and built up. Seriously crowded. Probably great if you like that and the bar scene, like.Been there once years ago for a go karting comp. All I remember is the track and the big waterpark!

Can rain a fair bit in December so be ready for that but can be 20 degrees and sunny. If you get the weather right sintra is really nice. Is 40 minute train from the centre.Travelling to Lisbon in December. Not THE Lisbon! Any must see/do's?? Cheers
I’d personally avoid eating here. Had some of the worst service and meals in Lisbon. Get the impression it’s changed a lot and It’s now a tourist trap.LX Factory is a class little spot, decent food options and trendy boutiques.
IMO Japan is a great place for a first time solo traveller. Very safe, and the locals are very helpful if you're lost etc. All train stations have a dedicated employee to help tourists with questions in English. Despite everything being in Japanese, trains and tubes get very easy to figure out after a day or 2 of getting used to itOff to Japan 4 weeks today. Absolutely can’t wait! Slightly nervous though as it’ll be my first time outside of Europe, and my first time properly travelling alone (mostly I’ve previously travelled solo to Ireland, but I have tonnes of family and friends there so I’m not sure that really counts)
That’s perfect then! I can speak a bit of Japanese, but can’t read any so that’ll definitely be helpful thanks mate!IMO Japan is a great place for a first time solo traveller.
