Martinez has a history of giving young players regular game time if he thinks they are good enough.

And more importantly hes giving them time in there natural positions, not stuck out on the wing for the last 10 minutes of a match

If the rumours are to be believed he spat his dummy out several games before the last Lille game and Distin still played over Browning and Alcaraz, not quite sure what point you are trying to make.

I really like Browning, as I have exoressed several times in this thread, and want him to get game time. However, given Martinez's record with bringing young players through I trust him to make the best choice of when/how he does that. Fair enough if you don't.

Apparently Bobby questioned why Jags only seems to care about his performances for England and not for Everton.

Anyway, he also went on to say that Distin and Bobby are "finished". So if that's true, I think we can expect to see Browning tomorrow night. Which to be honest, I think I would look forward to.

I never buy into the loaning out process, the best way to play is to have a group of lads play together in the reserves for a couple of years, it makes the transition period from reserves to playing together at the top that little more easier.

There is no reserves though, because it simply wasn't competitive enough. Going out on loan is real football. The key thing is that they get sent to a club that will a) give them more playing time than the u21's can offer and b) plays a similar style of football to us.
