Ukraine invasion and the sanction of Oligarchs

Putin is deplorable alright, but IMO the Russian are well within their right to get into eastern Ukraine to halt any ethnic cleansing of Russian speakers who have been battered for 8 years by regular Ukrainian forces and more especially Ukrainian fascist militia.

NATO can huff and puff all they want but they will get a good 'kin slap if they try and step up against the Bear in his backyard.

This is the everton forum

With him being on the board of USM, the big question is where does his money and the security from that loan come from? How much of it is from his work at USM? I know he has other business interests but no idea of the breakdown.

How on earth were we allowed to use them as sponsors at all is another question but it won't matter soon.

Even if Usmanov/USM aren't sanctioned directly today, its all moving so fast that it IS coming. You'd hope the club are looking into how to deal with this. Can we really have USM plastered around the stadium on Saturday? Will the PL even allow it?
Well the money comes from Moshiri's account now.

The only USM money we have got has been from sponsorships.

Are Parliament going to go after anyone who has ever worked or been paid for work by a Russian Oligarch? I highly doubt it.

3. USM haven't got around FFP that is why we have stopped spending.
That's another baseless claim as well.

For starters it isn't even FFP we are being held up by it is the Premier League's STCC rules on wage expenditure.

We were spending too much on wages and had to cut the wage bill. This is mostly due to the fact that we haven't been able to show a profit due to horrendous player trading losses more so than to do with sponsorship fees.

And what have you based that doom mongering on?
Read the accounts. Without the funding that comes directly or indirectly from USM the club becomes instantly insolvent.

Abramovich pulled the plug on a 1bn redevelopment of Stamford Bridge because his visa was pulled. There is no way Moshiri or any financial institution is going to touch BMD with the threat of funds being seized. They will be looking to get their money out not pump more in.

I do read the accounts.

We do not become instantly insolvent without USM. If you'd read the accounts you would see that our majority shareholder has injected millions to prevent insolvency already even with the USM sponsorship.

Why would the funds be seized if they're backed by a British businessman with enough personal wealth to fund the entire loan himself?

You are chatting wham lad.

STCC was a form of financial fair play. I say was because it was scrapped in 2019. Try and keep up.
