Usmanov

Must admit I cannot see any lucrative sponsorships. Certainly there are companies linked to Moshiri involved but the sums of money are quite small compared with the Sky/BT favoured few.

I must say I don't know the numbers involved in the Usmanov-linked deals, but am just applying an assumption any reasonable person would regarding them. They're not going to be buttons are they? They're going to be better than what we'd have got otherwise.

Seeing as you know the numbers, could you please break them down for us in here with like-for-like comparisons with the "Sky/BT favoured few"'s deals to give us certainty on this?

I've not really been convinced that Usmanov has any great role at Everton so far, but I do keep hearing journalists (the latest of which being Marcotti) openly talking about Ancelotti holding talks with Usmanov as if his involvement here is old news (perhaps it is). But he's clearly not an owner and his role doesn't seem to be official, so I wonder what it is he really does, beyond offering lucrative sponsorship deals and advice to Moshiri.

Yes those the circle talk about it as if it's common knowledge.

Exclusion would never happen. The future Euroleague will have all the tV money, all the best players, and all the global fan support. The EPL will have what's left. And that will include the Euroleague clubs' reserve outfits.
Euroleague will never happen. That's just rubbish chat that gets used every time the shared revenue negotiations come around for the champions league, usually by Bayern.

Cant find much, only a story from 2013.

The club today enhanced their chances of reclaiming their position as the highest-earning side in the world with an eight-year deal worth almost $30m (£19.6m) a year, through which Aon will sponsor the Carrington training ground.

Everton have not announced the value of the USM partnership but their chief executive, Robert Elstone, told the AGM the club had signed two “high-value” commercial deals in recent weeks – naming rights for the training ground plus a shirt sponsorship deal – worth a total of £75m over the next five years.

It's alright Goat, @Pudsey can tell us.

I'm sure Manchester United make more on their commercial deals than Everton, but it'd be great to see all the numbers laid out before us.

Where will the trade come from?

Liverpool was an important port during the Empire
That day is long gone
I'll just leave this here...

Peel Ports has taken delivery of three ‘megamax’ quayside cranes that have travelled all the way from China and will be installed at the Liverpool2 container terminal.

The cranes, which were seen sailing up the River Mersey, are part of work on the second phase of the Liverpool2 project to provide additional capacity for growing volumes of cargo.

Their arrival follows Peel Ports announcing a record-breaking month for its container operationsat the Port of Liverpool. Quayside and landside throughput in October exceeded all previous figures on record with year on year growth of 12%....

oh mate you have little idea. The £400m development of Terminal 2 now allows for the worlds largest vessels to use the port of Liverpool. Previously vessels would need to be small to get through the dock system

There’ll be massive news within the coming months on utilisation of T2 and it won’t be Peel who operate it.

the port current has around 800,000 TEU (containers) per year, that’ll be to about 1.5m in 2 years

so your argument is dead in the water

As some one who spends quite a bit of time down at seaforth I can tell you that the docks have never been busier. Lots of investment there so that it can accommodate the mega ships called pan ex. These just dock up on the Mersey as their too big to get into the locks. Empire has long gone but Liverpool port is in a great position as we turn away from Europe to trade with the rest of the world.

Could they stay or would they have to be terminated?

They stay.
So long as you're paying whatever the market rate is, you can sponsor your own club, and don't forget, Moshiri is already a part owner of USM. The trick is in pushing the boundaries of "market rate" as much as is possible

For various reasons, I doubt Usmanov will be publicly involved ( ie a shareholder ) in the short-term though.
