if...But if it was consistent, you'd accept it. But we've had yesterday and Calvert Lewin at Fulham given off but the Idak goal at Chelsea was given in similar circumstances.

I now actually think, if the line has to be drawn then the goal should be given. If a linesman hasn’t flagged then it’s close, if the var get to the point where they go, ‘it’s the lines’ then it should simply be ‘goal given’.

Total bollocks. As a striker you look along the line to know your position, you can't judge a toe or your forehead in game played at pace. The offside rule was to stop goal hanging, the above isn't an example of that at all, so if you have to draw a line to decide if the attacker is onside or not, they are onside!
The authorities are sucking the joy out of football, we are there for the goals and almost every bloody one now is sent for review as they try and find a reason to disallow (if you are on the PL/ref blacklist) or allow, if you are on the favorite pile.
Esp with the amount of Everton goals ruled out for offside in the last 2 seasons I rarely find myself celebrating an Everton goal at the moment of scoring and by the time I realise that the goal is good that initial joy you should have had has dissipated.Seriously think var is one of the very worst things to happen in football. The original idea was okay, but it leaves far too much to interpretation. Goal line technology on the other hand takes human error or bias out of it all together. Fans/ players have had much of the joy removed from their match experience, as soon as you're team scores you're elation immediately becomes doubt. It's not the way football should be, just a personal opinion that in today's football times means nothing.
The one against United where DCL scored a winner with the last kick of the game sticks in my memory. Immediately chalked off because Sigurdsson was laying down in the box nowhere near the play and the ref taps his earpiece, listens to above, doesn’t look at the screen and retreats to the centre circle for protection from the fans.Esp with the amount of Everton goals ruled out for offside in the last 2 seasons I rarely find myself celebrating an Everton goal at the moment of scoring and by the time I realise that the goal is good that initial joy you should have had has dissipated.

It should do the opposite but trying to remain 'traditional' and a PGMOL high on their own supply have led to an increased level of subjectivity instead of less. Things like 'clear and obvious error' and going with the on-field decision just make it as ridiculous as 'alternative facts'.Seriously think var is one of the very worst things to happen in football. I don`t think its VAR thats been a bad thing but the way it is used. It slows the game down too much, especially for off side calls. I think they should do away with the drawing the lines and just make the call on looking at the screen. If you stop the game for longer than it takes to get set for the restart it feels like they are looking for an offside that isn`t there. Too many times games are stopped for 3 or 4 minutes and after seeing the lines they draw on the screen you still can`t clearly see if they are on side or not.Seriously think var is one of the very worst things to happen in football. That wouldn't quell the arguments.Should bin the lines on var offside. Visual check should suffice.
That's my point.That wouldn't quell the arguments.
Who says VAR got it wrong ?That's my point.
They ,the officials, can't get it right ,either way.
They do admit to errorsWho says VAR got it wrong ?
