Victor Anichebe! Is he even good enough for Wigan?

With Moses supposedly on the move, doesn't that mean a move to Wigan could definitely be in the works? I've always thought he's ok for cover at striker, but not quick enough for the wing, and injuries prevented him from starting here last year when he had a chance. He really did finish well last year when he came in as a sub.

He's ace in FIFA 11, so clearly he has potential... :)

Not being funny like but who would you replace him with for that money?

I wouldn't so much as directly replace him, if we're serious about getting Niang then that would go around half way to getting him in.

As we know money is stupidly tight and if we can raise money from selling surplus squad members to strengthen any position then so be it.

Know what your saying but can any of us be sure that a 17 year old unproven kid can offer a better option off the bench than vic.

One important factor to consider is "what else do we have in the squad to play in his position?" - the answer is "not much".

Personally I'd prefer to loan him out to a championship club until xmas. Gives him a chance to get fifteen games under his belt and let's see what happens. He either relishes the opportunity and bangs in eight or ten goals, or continues to disappoint. In the mean time, we get to see what Naismith, Velios and Mirallas can do.

I wouldn't ship Vic out before we know what we've got with the other three.

I know what you're saying but by all accounts Niang has really, really impressed during his trial, and has the potential to be a great player and make us a hell of a lot of money.

As much as I have a go at him. I actually agree at the moment he's the better option. I just don't think Vic will ever improve enough to be a regular starter while one of those two might.

This really. I do think after Jelavic and Naismith he's our best option, but I don't think he has the quality to stay at Everton for his whole career.

I like Vic but I would rather have Vellios on the pitch. For the amount of time he has been at the club and his age he should be doing a lot better, even with the injuries. I think he needs more playing time without knowing the crowd does not want him on the pitch. I think Wigan would be a fresh start for him.

Personally i think Vic is of age now and this is a massive season for him if he can stay fit.If it doesn't happen this year then maybe it will be time to move on
I just think blues should get behind him and give him a fair go.

what annoys me is Rodwell was shipped out in less time than Vic, who has never, ever ever EVER come close to showing the kind of potential we knew Rodwell had, Rodwell is an established u21 and now full england international, he has a lot to learn, but the fact Vic stays is beyond reason.
