What good does ****ging the lad off do? Name one good thing it does. He played very well the other night, and people saying he was lazy against Newcastle frankly see what they want to see.

He didn't have the same workrate as Jelavic for 30-35 minutes. We had no pressure up top. His two goals were fantastic.

Am I the only one who remembers him sprinting full pelt at Harper and almost taking his legs off? He closed him down on a fair few occasions.

People comparing him to Berbatov/Yak, I don't recall them ever doing. Whenever Yak did it was half arsed.

I'm not sure many other Premiership sides would see fit to include Anichebe in their number.

Perhaps the likes of Wigan or some of the relegation fodder, but certainly not the 'contenders' i.e. those with top 7ish aspirations.

He. Is. Not. Good. Enough.

Those players mentioned scored a few more goals to compensate for being half arsed mate.

I've got an agenda, some people don't like Howard, some don't like Hibbert, for me it's Anichebe. If he scores 10 goals this season (including this disallowed one) I'll run naked through my home town and post photos like.

He did very well a couple of times closing down Harper. But he is average at closing down when it comes to defenders. Just ask Mirallas.

Up until last january he was nowhere near good enough but he's been miles, miles better since then and I don't know why people don't recognise it.

The big difference though mate is he's still young (even though it feels like he's been round forever), and he shows flashed of brilliance. He scored some important goals last year, and as he's young there's no reason to get on the lads back and write him off yet.
Neville, Hibbert, Howard etc, won't improve, but if I was Anichebe playing in a stadium of 30k+ people and I knew they didn't rate me, I don't think I'd do very well either. I just don't see the harm in supporting a lad who could come good.
