I just think your letting your hatred of Moyes blind you from the fact that he can actually spot a player or at the very least potential in a player.

He saw it in Rooney, Victor, Vaughan and Rodwell, he didnt in Baxter, Wallace, Kissock.

Think Moyes was happy to keep both of them, he certainly wanted to keep Wallace, who has been a one man team at Tranmere, and his injury was the end of their promotion bid

wasn't exactly a tough one to spot though mate

I disagree.

For me and ive said it a few times over the years, but for me Victor has the lot to succeed, he has pace, he has a frame and he can actually play football, the reason he hasnt really shown it has been that massive chip on his shoulder, the sulking, the pouting, the general lack of effort, this Season its like a switch has turned on his head and hes starting to look like a player.

I doubt the switch would have been turned on if he moved down the Leagues.

I think a lot of it is about him "showing those fans who doubted him", his non goal celebrations help me reach that conclusion.

But regardless, I doubt hes gonna score loads of goals, but time will tell.

I'm sure Vic is gonna get better and his goal tally will improve as his positional play and instinct improve.
I think his tantrums and sulking were due to frustration with things not going to plan.Premier league defenders even the poor one's are canny and it took a while for him to come to terms.
I think he would have got to dominating lower level defenders earlier thus diffusing the frustration.
Totally agree the bells abusing young players don't help one bit and as you say luckily with Vic he used it positivly. Already feeling a bit sorry for what Ross is gonna receive after a couple more mistakes if he doesn't have the same balls to em outlook.

I agree mate and I will never and have never abused an Everton player, no matter how much I dont rate them.

Needs one more goal, I think, before elong has to go streaking.

He'll be injured in the week. I pray.

Rapped that he's proving me wrong in all honesty. I don't think he's playing as well as people make out, he's just playing better than people expect.

I don't hate Moyes whatsoever, i just don't love him like you do. He's got a great eye for talent but he still gets it wrong at times.

Yeah I was a bit harsh on Wallace, he might still make it.

Well going by your logic then he will never make it because he's not good enough cause Moyes let him go. My logic is if he doesn't make it it could be because he is just gash, or because its hell of a lot harder to make it as a Prem player being at a lower league club than it is being at a Prem club.

That much is kinda obvious to me. For all the young players we've let go over the years, some of them would have become useful squad members if we'd given them the same chances at Everton that the likes of Anichebe and Hibbert had. Rather than letting them go and them having to develop as players at some gash club with gash coaches.

And we've needed those useful squad members really haven't we.

Moyes never really released him tho.

But regardless, hes still playing for Tranmere in League One.

which useful squad members tho mate, the list of players players Everton have released are extensive, not many come back and bite us on the anus.

Which is my entire point, i'm not saying we're letting go players the caliber of Rooney all the time.

If we have 2 young players coming through who are more or less as good as each other but we have to keep one and let one go, 1 gets released and signs for Crewe, the other follows the same path as Anichebe.

Which one will be more likely to become a useful squad member for Everton in the future?
