For me:

1 - Niko Kovac
2 - Frank Lampard
3 - Rudi Garcia
4 - Wayne Rooney
5 - Vitor Pereira

Kovac is perfect for us but for some reason the club is dragging it's heels. Plays good football, has lots of tactical knowledge and seems a very tough man-manager. At Monaco, he seemed to fall out with his sporting director over medical assistant and some backroom staff so he'll fit in fine here because we haven't any!

Lampard is one who I think is better suited to this league and how he wants to play positively plus his management record is good for a new manager. His impact could be Moyes-ish if he distills the mixture of youth and experience.

Garcia ex Lyon manager who took them to the Semi final of the Champions League beating City 2 seasons ago who plays a attacking 4-3-3 mainly. He has been linked to Man United this season, won the double with Lille but he has picked some duff clubs with bad situations like Roma, Marseille so he'll be use to shït run clubs.

Rooney is doing a great job at Derby and he has worked a miracle. His link with us is purely because he is ex Everton and his name. Could he fulfill his chosen one destiny? Too early for me.

Pereira an outside bet who seems to be happy to take a small term contract and his links to Kia Joorabchian plus his serial winner status in Portugal, Greece and China is not to be sniffed at but those leagues are nowhere near the standard of the Premier League. I think his card is already marked with so many fans as a The Board Option which given Benitez's appointment, makes him tainted already.

Kovac is terrible..

There is no one that can save us.

Wasn’t impressed with his Bayern team but they didn’t really perform for Ancelotti either (who seems to have no problem at Madrid) so who knows with that one and those players.

Did good work at Frankfurt but the problem is that it’s almost impossible to judge across different leagues. A decent manager can take a mid table side in the bundesliga, la liga, Serie A, Ligue un, and if you make the right signings can get them into European football, and then the CL, and then they have the pick of who they want to sign once the one or two mega beasts have had their fill. We’ve seen it with Atletico Madrid, Dortmund, Atalanta, Lyon, Napoli, Leipzig etc. some have fallen away but it doesn’t take much for them to get ton an upward trend.

A coach could come here and do exactly the same sort of job , finish 9th twice and have his best players wanting to leave to the same domestic competitors that are already ahead of him. The premier league is a nightmare as it has six of the richest clubs in the world in it. A team like Leicester in any other league would have had multiple years of CL football and been buying whatever players City and Chelsea didn’t want. Instead it’s been edged out by United throwing billions around, including at Leicester players like Maguire. Now they’re looking at their best players wanting to leave if they don’t make the CL and Rodgers probably going as well.

Every name linked has on paper their negatives. End of the day, most are out of the job for some reason.

They're all gambles in the position we're in.

I’d take Kovac if he was available and wanted to join, but we’ve not heard a sniff compared to the others yet.

Do think there's lots of straw clutching. The only ones that seem to be confirmed as in the mix are Pereira and Lampard.

Rooney hasn't even been asked.

Everyone else just seems like paper talk or fan rumours.

Looking at the standard of the candidates, Pereria especially poor cv and doesn't know the league hasn't time to learn it, Lampard for me done okay in his first two jobs and must have good links to Chelsea for some loans.
