Many Watford fans don’t want us relegated as they see us as the main competition for the scrap to return to the Prem next year.

They would rather see Leeds or Burnley go down for that reason.
interesting take...it supposes some nuanced strategic intelligence from Hornet supporters that has been negligibly evidenced throughout their history.

You're never happy, Jimmy. When the fans are grumpy and wanting your favourite rotund koppite on his bike they're the devil. Now they're behaving how you want them to they're just pretending and are hypocrites. Can't all be super bloos like you, apparently.

Do you ever get bored of being wrong Windy?

Was thinking the same thing. This has to continue to some extent next season and beyond. Never let the team be afraid of playing at home and we need to show at all times that we are 100% behind them during games. The moans and groans though being understandable will never help the team.
In many games, Aston Villa and Wolves being perfect examples, the crowd have been well up for it and roared them onto the field and continued with that support until it dawned on us that nothing, absolutely nothing was coming back from the players on the field, we fed them with encouragement but they never digested it and lost both games with not much of a fight so it works both ways.

Now Lampard, after a naive start to managing the team, has got better how to use the players and the supporters have dragged these players into believing in themselves and are picking up those vital points needed to keep us up, it wasn’t the supporters who made really stupid mistakes at WHU and Burnley and threw winnable games away.

Thousands of these fans will be cheering them before the game, a few hundred started yesterday at Finch Farm, and will continue the roars throughout the game tonight so the players have no excuse but to give their all just like those fans do.

A win tonight puts us 4th in the form guide. That would be some turn around from a month ago.
It's remarkable. Almost all of us had written them off; there had been barely an ounce of fight or courage shown by the players and it looked like the only way was down. I for one had us finishing below Watford and I genuinely don't think it was a bad call at the time. We looked dead and buried and set for a humiliating relegation.

Now it's not done yet, but we can sort this by the end of the weekend if we keep it together just a few days longer.

Leeds and Burnley have a tougher set of fixtures than us and one more win will probably be enough for Everton.

It should be this match and probably will be and remember, we only have to finish above one of them.
