Ironically we played United at home strait after Ball died and ironically Rooney scored the third against us for the red devils. He did a lovely jumping jack waving celebration to the park end before running over to the adoring United fans.

Oh please lord rooney join us when you are 35 please we forgive you.

Im sure he forgives us for the years of constant abuse as well.

You gotta learn to let hate go or it consumes you.

We were two nil up that day.

That Manny bloke, the Portugeezer, scored a spectacular goal.

Terrible again yesterday.

Context as needed tbf, United don't even try to go forward most of the game, unless it was through Martial (Who just runs out of play and loses the ball just as much as he gets past the defender).
He was against possible the best centre back around, AND Otamendi all game, on his own.
RVP was just poor, but that's the LVG system, if it does not work it completely isolates the striker.

But, its clear he is not the player he was when 21, because he is 30.

I would love him to come back and if he ever did in the near future you would see a far better player than what you currently see. just being able to play for the club again would do wonders for his confidence and enjoyment on the pitch.

Sadly Rooney is now on a ticking clock and once it gets past a certain point, there is no way he can come back. He will need to decide, what is more important to him at the end o a distinguished career, money, or his boyhood club.

The Rooney story needs to conclude at Everton with an FA Cup win.

As crap as he is now a move to us would rejuvenate him immensely for a year or so but he needs to do it now
