Personally its 12 months too late for me.

Last year when there was talk of it I was in the Yes camp. 10 months ago I sat at Wembley watching us lose to Utd and Rooney ran the show for me in that deeper role.

However we've invested heavily in the midfield. Saying that its not my money. So is the board want him, fck it. Lets buy him

That's the real draw i think. Last few seasons at Goodision, Englands all time record goalscorer and captain leading out The blues as they wave good bye to one of Englands grand old football grounds. Rooney No.9 shirts flying off the selves for a couple of years too. I do still think (or at least hold hope) that playing for us again will re-ignite his passion for the game and coupled with the WC next year give him the chance the end his career on a high.

Its on guys.... its not about the football although there are positives there, its all about the money and the PR and anyone who thinks we wouldn't be better off spending thMoshiri's money on Rooney versus 4-5 PR people is on crack!

Yeah, he'll play in the hole like Cahill or Barkley if he comes.

Still, he will probably break our wage structure and might not be able to keep up, so it's a massive risk.
But in terms of providing experience and competition and "cough" KNOWHOW there are none to match him.

Plus, we can give him a beautiful way to end the career. None of that greedy China nonsense
