Transfer Rumour Wayne Rooney

Was just about to write just this. Saves me a job. :)

I'd rather we have him and then find out he really is washed up than not and always wonder if a fully fit and motivated Rooney had been keeping his powder dry for the last few years ready for this very moment.

He knows how to win things and be involved in big games. The more the merrier in my book.
This.

He's on a reported £300000 p/w at United. We are sure to offer less than half that
He's either grossly washed up or being played out of the only one or two positions he can still play in and Morinho clearly doesn't fancy him.
At the very least he's an Everton fan who may have got some sort of bug back when he played his testimonial at Goodison. It's just a pity he didn't fancy a move back before he signed a new contract a few seasons ago. I suppose he will be well rested as he's barely kicked a ball this season. There's a big part of me that wants him back but probably for the wrong reasons.

Maybe I have gone mad but is this possible !
Rooney has remembered his roots and now hates the Mancs and wants to come back !

Midfield is not his forte but put on a blue shirt as number 10 we could get good from him ?

I know he's not been great lately but I'd give him a shot

Forget wages and money ifs he a true blue he would do it if Mancs have to buy him out .... Thoughts ??
Jesus. 81% want him back.

And the 19% probably want to sign a player that won't even come here or someone that may be just as big a gamble. You may not want him here but some others are ok with it, at the end of the day our opinions count for zip, Koeman and Walsh will decide. They are probably more qualified to decide if it's in the best interests of Everton Football Club.

It's double edged though Ash.

The publicity could go the other way, if his fitness gets any worse and he starts smashing grannies again.

It could well do. He could he finished, but given the media attention on his move back outside of this country it could well keep a spotlight on the club elsewhere. It isn't guaranteed by any stretch of the imagination but wayne would have a point to prove himself coming back here rather than to sit on his arse and earn a pay packet

He'd be better off abroad imo - USA.

No shame in going there, reasonable standard, loads of ex big names and a good standard of living.

Think he's finished in the Prem mate ( imo)

I am not keen on signing Rooney at all, but then with what's supposedly happening at the club maybe just maybe it would be good for us to have him as a high profile name. Any chance of Ibrahimovic?

He might be. Then again there is the factor he doesn't fit joses system like mata, Dr bruyne and lukaku before him and simply dropped. If koeman can fit him in a system that works then who knows?

Personally think his presence in the dressing room will have a much bigger effect than anything he could do on the pitch

Koeman wants him. This is the most important factor. We may only get 12 months out of him, we may get lucky and get 2-3 years. Either way if he's committed we will be lucky to get someone of Rooney's ability to do that, on a free and (which is essential) on the wages he'd be on.

It will need a bit pay cut. His form at United doesn't overly worry me. I think it's gone stale there for 2 years now. A move to us will rejuvenate him and Koeman will get him fit. The lad is what, 31? He's not late 30's. On favourable conditions I'm happy to have Wayne back. If it doesn't work out he will go to China/USA in the summer (or maybe January) if it does we will get 2-3 good years from him.
