Transfer Rumour Wayne Rooney

Didn't Koeman state that he likes Rooney. He is the only one with a say in this. If he still rates him or not. That will be good enough for me because they have to pay his wages not me.

Perhaps a desire for a name, a 'star' - one that is attainable. We know that was important for Moshiri with the manager.

Does a Wayne Rooney signing encourage others, Tielemans/Koulibaly of the world, look at Everton any more positively?

I wouldn't have thought so, but others would disagree.

@bluestevon has been terrifically vocal behind the screen on this subject.

Personally I agree with you, if its meant to be a positive move signing Rooney then to me it seems to be a fabulously negative one.

We do however have to pay out of our own pockets to watch Everton, so it does matter to me whether he plays for us because I want to see good Everton players when possible.

It's an interesting point some make that he'd be better than Kone. No argument there, except that the comparison only works if he takes Kone's wages.

My sources tell me that West Ham have hired the brass who looks like John Terry's ma to be a physio, and that this sealed the deal.
