Transfer Rumour Wayne Rooney

I wonder if him coming back could be similar in effect to Torres going back to Atletico. Everyone thought he was finished. Granted he has never hit the heights he once did but has been much better than he was in the previous few years. He's had a couple of good seasons at a very good club and has been a good squad member.

I think Rooney coming back could reinvigorate him a bit. He won't ever be the Rooney of old but could be a really important member of our squad.

As I, and many, have said before it all comes down to finances. If we can get him on a free and on wages of £150k a week or less then I think it is a no brainer

It won't do our global image or reputation any good getting MUs cast off former stars, but apart from that I think he would be a good squad rotation player if he is free and low enough wages (for sure less than 150k, ideally less than 100k)

Ww are in the europa league next year
We will be using squad rotation that we have not neen used to as a club and as players. Rooney wont be the only front man brought in when rom leaves. He would be a great addition to squad playing some of the rif raff around europe and his name will put evertons names about europe too. We are not a well known there as we might think.

I think he should retire and donate his time to Everton for free, as a coach, mentor, or whatever, given that he's supposedly a Blue and is mega-rich. Now that would be a public relations coup. I remember the great French cyclist Bernard Hinault always said he'd retire at 33 and that's a far tougher sport. Rooney could go now and then put something back into the club that gave him his start. There's a lot of sentimental attachment to his name around here - I'd like to see him exercise the same devotion to Everton that many Evertonians give to him.

Can put Falcao back at Monaco in the same category, Drogba also went back to Chelsea one last season and performed okay and a few others have done similar.

The Torres thing is a very very good comparison, if anything Torres looked way more in decline than Rooney did as well

He's doing a lot better than Torres was as well. In the games he's actually started this season he's played well. Even including his sub minutes he's got 3 goals and 5 assists in the League from about 11 games' worth of minutes, being played all over the pitch. Seriously, he's played left mid, centre mid, attacking mid and up front.

He's not what he was but if he was he wouldn't come here. In the same way we can't expect to sign Bale, Neymar or Lewandowsi. But if Koeman wants him then that's good enough for me.

Enner Valencia or Wayne Rooney? Think about that for a second then tell me you wouldn't have him back

He'll be great for us next season alongside Ross

I hope not because Torres continues to be utter gash.
