Ferguson: "Aye could gae ta Newcastle and nay be a big a rat and be welcomed back"
Rooney: "Dat's nowt mate. Try kissin' a manc badge and still being less of a rat and then trying to come back"

Rooney at 31 with a full pre-season & regular football still has an awful lot to offer ...... I'd take him without a doubt.

Proven winner of which we have NONE in the dressing room currently. We need two or three more with that mentality where semi-final defeats are not good enough or a draw away from home is deemed a success.

We need a blend of winners, talented youth & a change of direction - we have settled for mediocrity far too long.

NSNO.

This in a heartbeat. How many times after we play against the big teams do we as fans moan about the gutless, spineless performance from our players...

Rooney is a bit of a snide and knows that winning mentality which we need to breed around Goodison. Get him back to the club, I honestly reckon it would work wonders for all parties involved.

signing Wayne Rooney will keep Lukaku at Everton. could help fire us into the champions league. People who don't rate him are insane. He's been injured a lot of this season. What would Man Utd have been without Wayne Rooney in the past 10 years? Look past your jealousy of his riches and welcome him back to the club he loves. He will be a team player and help the club improve their status.
Why do we think signing Rooney would mean Lukaku stays?
If it does by the way then I'm all for it...

File Rooney under Ginola and Gascoigne.

If you also think signing a player on the back of shirt sales is ok? Even though his wages would be considerably more you should be looking at following Lipuwl or Yanited.
It's so different. Those 2 were mid 30's Rooney is 31. Rooney will have played for us for a few years and moved on again before he can be filed under the same.

A former international footballer unable to get a game who joins Everton for a guaranteed start?

Pretty much the same...

The way Rooney is built, his none athletic physique and the fact he started playing premier league football at 16 instead of 18/19 like most other young lads means in footballing age, he pretty much is mid 30's

Let's be honest Rooney and Lukaku is wet dream material from the days of watching Vellios and McFadden up top.

If we got the midfield balance right, I don't care what anyone says, those two would score goals simple as. We wouldn't nevesssrily get work rate, pressing, aerial prowess, but they would bring goals no question.

If there was any justice in this world Rooney would be on a slow boat to Guangzhou.

Even forgetting the circumstances he left us in, hes a washed up player who will likely be our highest earner.

Ginola, Gascoigne....Rooney

Ginola and Gascoigne were totally past it when we signed them, it's nowhere near the same in comparison.

I get why people don't want us to sign him, but I think the past it shout is unjustified as he's still a better player than half the players at the club.
