Transfer Rumour Wayne Rooney

hes in better shape than rooney and has all the qualities you said rooney has.

John Terry will do a job for a Palace, Bournemouth or the like, I don't doubt it.

In my opinion Wayne Rooney brings more to our team & although I'm hesitant on the deal, £150,000 pw is shed load of money for any player afterall, he could be a catalyst & a draw for other players. He has massive respect amongst his peers around the world.

We'll just need to agree to disagree and see how it plays out.

Gone are the days when you could still "do a job" when you were past it. His legs have gone, it doesn't matter about his brain. He would be a colossal waste of money. We need to be bringing in younger, faster players. Would Spurs sign Rooney? I don't think so. They are the team we should be trying to emulate.
We can't just become Spurs overnight we need to build it. I remember 5 years ago Spurs were signing the likes of Scott Parker to help them push on. Not sure if it worked out but this proves that even they went down this route to improve.

'Favours Chinese super league over Everton return' -Mirror

MLS a much better bet for him than China, IMHO. I can't imagine him learning the language and chilling out in the streets of Beijing somehow.

Rooney was a bright young thing 15 years ago but his football peaked in the first 5-10 years of that spell. His longevity and England scoring record he can be proud of, not sure what the win is for him or Everton now. It was maybe a good arrangement for both a coupla seasons back - but we've already got Barkley kind of making people gnash their teeth every other week in the no. 10 slot - do we really need Rooney doing the same?

Dunno, maybe a season to see how it pans out just for the memories. If it pays off great, if not then I think MSL's the smarter move. I would actually watch it for once.

if we're still interested i think he'll come here. He's 31, China or the States can wait a couple of years and he's a stubborn SOB who will not like having his England career cut short by Southgate. Whilst it will take a monumental effort to get back in the England squad if he leaves the Premierleague his international career is over. It'll come down to whether we are actually still interested in him and i've heard we aren't.

you can spot the romantics about Rooney a mile away, idealising his return by suggesting hes hitting his peak.

i wil LOL when he runs out of breath after 40 mins and is fumed over like Neville was.
Who is saying he's hitting his peak? I think everyone in their right mind knows he peaked about 10 years ago when he was scoring around 30 a season and winning trophies almost single handedly! The question is, is he better than what we've got and is he better than what we could get. Some think he is, some think he isn't.

We will go for him when his contract is up down there!!
