Signing youngsters is dangerous in my opinion. We do this and it looks like a 3 years plus project, players aren't going to hang around as we are seeing with Rom. They just won't wait. If signing Rooney gives us any chance of better players looking at us now then we should take it.

We could on the other hand do neither of the above and just go for mid table players and stay where we are.

Hmm... Few articles about but no actual quotes. All it says is it's reported he doesn't want to take a pay cut and doesn't want to move away.
Looks like he's staying where he is then.
 


Maybe we just dont want him? Trying to make it sound like we are missing out, maybe he has been told with the money we get for Rom there will be no room for you after we raid Europe
