Transfer Rumour Wayne Rooney

Quality- he certainly doesn't still have it based on a good 2 years of evidence
Goals- he'll struggle to get near 10
Set pieces- literally one fluke free kick went in, usually he just hits the wall
Pedigree- he has a poor record at anfield does he not
Profile- let's be honest people know him the world over because of Utd, they will no longer give a hoot about him

You can't really dispute his pedigree!

I think Koeman has to know where to use him, and get him to stay in that position. For me , Rooney in behind Lukaku might work. However, he has a tendency to wander around and try and put tackles in, follow the ball etc.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his need (sorry Karl) - he would quite simply not be our best player so why make him the best paid? I would rather a kid with fire in his belly is given a chance

All the signs point towards us having a Lukaku-sized hole to fill next season. Do you really think Lookman & DCL are going be able to do that at this stage of their career, even between them? We absolutely need someone "who's been there, done it" given the task ahead.

As for his pay, that is business between him and the club. I have never been against anyone making as much money as they can. If the deal is good for both parties then it will be struck. We'll pay Rooney as much as we think he's worth to us, and Rooney will be happy to accept that rate for his footballing services. Given the dynamics of the deal and the pull of playing for Everton, we will be getting him for below his true market price - that's why it's a complete no-brainer.

I think once the novelty of Rooney playing for Everton again wears off and all we're left with is a has been with none of his previous dynamism, we'll be scratching our heads as to why we're paying huge wages on him and not investing that money elsewhere.

I'd love to be proven wrong on this, but I don't think I will be.

I just don't see how just because he's here we're suddenly going to start winning at anfield and such, if anything he's shown he's got poor temperament in such games if things don't go his way

Think Man Utd go on an American tour on Sunday so it will surely have to be done by then.

Just wondering if they will forsake his 13 millions a year wages instead of a transfer fee

Would he play in Lukaku's position or Barkley's?

One makes me feel more comfortable than the other to be honest.
