I can just about accept that seeing as there were rumours a few weeks ago that it might be £20m to buy him.

As for his wages he has the standing in the game to deserve that kind of wage, not sure Barkley has. Would have offered Rom more but doubt he would ever have taken it anyway.

How? We have one of the biggest fees ever for a player who most on here slag off for being lazy and a terrible first touch.

Being totally serious if at christmas we had been told we would get this sort of fee for Lukaku we would ALL have accepted it.

He's hardly on a Zimmer frame mate. He's arguably got the talent and technique to keep playing until 34/35 having lost his explosive pace.
