We need the run-in atmosphere from last season for the Wolves game

The decision not to sell Gordon is beginning to look increasingly like it might bite us. The prices quoted could've seen us balance the books and bring in more end product.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing and we probably thought he'd kick on, but so far, his performances have been way below what's needed.

Except I don’t think there was a bid anywhere near the region we have read about.

And if there had been, I think we would have taken it in a heartbeat.

How exactly are you expecting them to repay the loyalty of those fans - If we win against Wolves does that help repay the loyalty of fans?

Its part of the deal supporting a club, that you run the good with the bad.

Give their best effort every week, not allow opposition to run them ragged and bully them, show commitment to win challenges and second balls.

And for the management, prepare the team as best as possible, have a mindset of trying to get a result no matter where we play, and to select our best available team.

I don't have high expectations. I just want to see some form of tangible improvement this year, be it one place or one point.

Maybe they are. Maybe everyone is doing their best, but they just aren't very good.

What then?

Maybe they are.

No they aren't because the intensity they play at fluctuates quite wildly from week to week. Even the manager said the intensity was totally missing on Satruday and he watches them every weekend and every day on the training field. That problem is partly his fault too btw - he needs to ensure standards are kept far more consistently.

They play a different team each week.

Maybe each weekend they give as much as they can in those circumstances.

Shouldn't be on the fans.
If you can't perform in the eyes of close on 40k fans it's time to give up.
Other grounds are soulless, yet teams get results.
Our away support is very vociferous but.....
I do get what your saying mate

I would have took 35 million plus in the summer if it was on the table.I dont think his value much is more than 20 million now, as for the reported asking for 100 grand a week i wouldnt entertain half of that and tell him to start earning his money

You say that like it adds no pressure at all. 40000 fans all singing and chanting for you is a positive thing. 40000 groaning is not.

Why do we keep bringing these players in though, it's like we keep doing the 'PL experience thing' whether it's with players or managers and have done for last 30 years and it's got us nowhere. I'm dubious about sacking Frank at the moment but if we do then we simply HAVE to look a bit further a field for a replacement imo.

Coady called their performance shocking, and he is in the dressing room.

I absolutely cannot believe these players give absolutely 100% every week. The fluctuations in their performance are huge.

The players are bad but there is simply no excuse to be this bad.

I don't think we had a bad window, it's just that we seemingly had no money and had so many areas of the team to strengthen. But failure to get some creativity is seriously costing us.

The problem I think we have is a new manager in Jan upsets our plans, but do we have the faith in Lampard and the DOF to get us the creativity needed?

I think the squad we had last November (just because it had some creativity/thread in Digne/Richarlison), was more equipped at staving off relegation than the squad we have now.

I don't think we signed terrible players in the window, I just dont think we prioritised what I think needed prioritising to stay in the league. All I banged on about last season was how we don't create, and how we only created more than Norwich last season and how reliant we were on Richarlison who was involved in a third of our goals. We were never replacing him, but we never even tried to mitigate that.
