We need the run-in atmosphere from last season for the Wolves game

Last season, with a big slice of help from the fans, Frank could easily create the “us against the world” mentality in the dressing room after what had preceded him. Players subsequently dug in and ground out some great results.

We simply don’t have that this season. All that bluster has been stripped away and what we need is better coaching and tactics. It’s a massive oversimplification to say the fans need to help the team every game. The fans reaction after the last game should be enough to spur the players on, if anything!

Not sure anyone can dredge up the energy last season should have been the wake up call, but no
After the relief of the last game of season were everyone said never again and sort this sorry mess out, here we are again. Unfortunately for us I don’t think the teams below us will stay there.

I agree, but we can't keep asking the fans to go to the well. Eventually we will run out of energy and stomach for the fight.

It's hard to do it mid season aswell when there's so many games left, just not the same feel as from April last season when whole club felt on the brink and all the Goodison fixtures had a last chance saloon feel about it.

That said six weeks without an actual game and Boxing day is always a special feel if you're at home so it will be decent yes.

Can’t be arsed. All tired out with the stress of Everton.
Get rid of Kenwright and co and I might feel for it again.
This club is finished with this shower of idiots running us. The only thing that kept us up was the fans last season and look how we get paid back.
Next season will only be rinse and repeat anyway

This.
Our reward? Increase in ticket prices and poor performances.

Can't get hurt like that again, the refrain from everyone in charge was "This can't happen again" and through, shock and awe, their continued gross negligence and incompetence, it has indeed happened again. New players, new stadium, new managers, new director of football, same tired, corrupt, overpaid board and same awful, awful Everton. I don't have the stomach for another go.

Agree with every word. Painful

Yeah, can agree with that, a very un-Everton night match atmosphere, though we have had them before.

The thing that I was surprised at was the amount of murder and kick offs going on around me - more than I can remember for a good while in the top balc. Bit unpleasant at times, close to physical on more than one occasion.
There's a bloke near me who goes off like a bottle of pop all the time and is always arguing with most of the fans around him. He left last season's Goodison derby after about 20 minutes, then him and his mate made a video outside saying how crap it all was. lol

The decision not to sell Gordon is beginning to look increasingly like it might bite us. The prices quoted could've seen us balance the books and bring in more end product.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing and we probably thought he'd kick on, but so far, his performances have been way below what's needed.
For the sort of money they were talking about i was definitely thinking sell - as long as the money was used to reinvest.....definitely not hindsight, i just dont see Gordon as a 40/50 mil player at the moment.
