You little kidder you.Pleasure...all in jest
It is a bit true thoughYou little kidder you.
Bandwagon guilt or misplaced Toryism. You dear reader or the judge.
Just slightly more than a bit I’d say.It is a bit true though![]()
With the whole fan behavior of the English fans in this Euros, I feel like the English have relinquished their "moral superiority" to attack Qatar for hosting the 2022 WC.
Your friends already did ...many years back I will admit.Just slightly more than a bit I’d say.
Anyway anymore nonsense and I’ll come down there and piss all over your street and shout at your woman folk.
Like a virgin
Touched for the very first time
I’m Scottish but have lived in England for many years.
It was mentioned earlier in the thread about the St George flags with club names on them and the vast majority of them being lower league clubs. I noticed this a few years ago and came to the conclusion it was because these teams will never be successful or get to play in Europe. So when it comes to England it’s like it’s a big adventure like the hillbillies going to the big city or something and they don’t really know how to behave or just don’t care. Scottish fans go as one supporting the country (believe me we are not perfect) but the English seem happy to be splintered into club sides supporting and come across very aggressive. They don’t know how to be nationally proud without trying to intimidate.
I feel some actually think that they have some divine right to win and look down on other countries.
Are we stuck with the memory’s of the imperial past?
Some don’t want to let it go.
Claus I was talking about England games and the flags with mostly lower league teams on them. It was an observation. Just for the record I go along (when restrictions allow) and support a lower league team and my son has a season ticket for this team.I'd completely disagree with aspects of this. Look at Chelsea fans on the Paris subway or WankBuddha after the CL final.
There were plenty of Blues spoiling for a bit of trouble during the FA Cup match away to Millwall a few years back. Attacking pubs and the like - every club has them. The implication (from some, not necessarily you) that it's fans of less successful clubs losing their heads in the euphoria of following a "Big" team is patronising, demonstrably inaccurate and smacks of denial that every club has problem fans.
This past weekend's media crowned Clown Prince of arsehole related flares is a Chelsea fan. One of the biggest and most succesful clubs in European football.
We've seen it on here. RS fans are rightfully condemned for their actions but massive groups of lairy bladdered beaked up Evertonians making a mess and intimidating people before a European away game is just banter and lads having a good time.
I am sad to report that, once again, England fans disgraced themselves and this time on home soil. If anything their behaviour seems to be getting worse and more empowered. We cannot turn a blind eye to these heinous behaviours from so many of them, we should not deflect or engage in whataboutism, instead we should be brave and call out some of the most acute and filthy toxic nationalism around in the world today. For people obsessed with reflected glory from a war that finished 76 years ago they really should try studying it more. The monsters their ancestors were fighting are the very people they have become now.
Said it before, football has a culture that allows nationalism to thrive. If you support a team you are expected to hate their rivals, highlight every problem with their rivals and defend your own team, ignore indiscretion by your own team and fans. For example, literally no one cares about the human rights failing of their owner, but are quick to point oil money, russian mafia ect of their rivals.I am sad to report that, once again, England fans disgraced themselves and this time on home soil. Yeah, I never got that with all lower league supporters only following the team. It’s maybe because they don’t see Premier League players much so go to England games to see those players.I don't know if it has any bearing on things, but one thing you always notice with England fans is that it's not ever really PL fans (I'm sure there some that follow the national team) When you see all the flags in the crowd it's all for stuff like Luton Town, Mansfield, Keely Town (no idea who they are tbf) Northampton, Wealdstone FC, I think WBA was the most notable team flag I saw. It's like all these lower league fans come out and are looking for something to cling on to as they know there own team will never do anything so they just go mental.
A friend of mine told me before he got elected, that when he was Mayor of London, my friend’s-friend worked as a waitress at a cafe in London. When she was taking her time to bring the coffee over he ordered, he started making monkey noises at her."What a relief it must be for Blair to get out of England. It is said that the Queen has come to love the Commonwealth, partly because it supplies her with regular cheering crowds of flag-waving piccaninnies," he wrote, referring to African people as having "watermelon smiles."
Boris Johnson.
Is it any real susprise this is happening when the person the country elected to lead us is a blatant racist. Appointing a racist has, to an extent, advocated racist abuse and shown there's a lack of accountability for it.
