Why not ? The length of service is taken into consideration anyway in any payment, so why shouldn't the standard protection to the employee be any different ? ........

As I said before - there has to be some flexibility. An economy cannot be over-regulated. Just think about it - where do you draw the line? Someone in a job for a week and gets sacked - can he/she go through a whole tribunal process funded by the state?

Anyway this dinner lady was in the job for 11 years apparently.

So it's the 'far right' that wants to protect her job and Labour supporters like yourself that don't give a crap.......can you see any irony in this.......

No the far right want to make it an issue about race when it's not. This has nothing to do with that rubber wannabe Farage.

Labour supports employment rights. This dinner lady went through a due process and can now appeal at a tribunal. I don't know all the details of the case and neither do you.

This is a non-issue until such time as a genuine third party has considered the matter and found the dinner lady was wronged. If that third party also point to race being an issue then you have something to hang your hat on.

Until then

So for 11 years she was allowed to keep her job, but after one mistake, which was immediately rectified, she was dismissed because of an overreaction and complaint from a man fraudulently running a company. Now put your Labour spectacles back on and see if in any way you can begin to sympathise with the dinner lady.......

Sorry if I'm not making my point clear here.

IF she was wronged then I support her case for appropriate compensation 100%. IF it was as trivial as that which you describe she'd appear to have a rock solid case.

Her employer went through a process to decide if the sacking was fair. They believed it was. She has a full right of appeal and now has a legion of supporters to fund it. Once all the evidence is out there she can have her say. IF it is as straightforward as you suggest it'll last two hours and she can walk down the steps of the tribunal arm in arm with Farage and Jim Davidson. She'll be a hero.

Why wouldn't she challenge the sacking if it was so simple? That's my scepticism.

The dinner lady, not the clown above who I'd happily go knuckle deep in.

Only knuckle deep? I'd be at such a depth you wouldn't even be able to tickle me.

But in all seriousness, she got sacked (by a catering company, not the school) because she'd apparently repeatedly neglected her duty of care. Just because the parent who took umbrage has broken the law doesn't mean they don't have the right to complain.

Personally I'd have sacked the dozy cow for not hiding it under the chips....
