Do you actually want us to be bad?

jesus wept i missed his negative comment...what an attitude. Fact is ive just listed 5 lads who are young, quality players who are ours permanently to build around.

Whos to say we cant sign Lukaku? Whos to say Deulofeu wont stay another year?

Its always doom with some fans

not aimed at you btw coach

I would have liked a Direct Felli replacement on top of what we got then i would have been beaming but as it stands im not too upset.

I hope we do, and it was part of the loan deal to have a price set up to sign him up.

Take with a pinch of salt, of course, but the latest figures on www.transferleague.co.uk make sobering reading.

Absolutely stunned that there are people STILL whinging.

I am neither stunned nor surprised.

Sometimes the Moaning Minnies among our support embarrass me.

I am loving what happened yesterday.

Yes, I am sorry to see Fellaini and Victor (in partticular) go, but that;s football.

Darn this international break......I want to see the new boys in action this weekend.

Pot kettle black.

Err we've not lost a game (like United) yet and we have 2 clean sheets in our last 3 games.Neither has United scored a goal in their last 2 games - by far the majority of our fans seem chuffed - cheer up and meet the future - leave the past where it belongs .....

And Liverpool are sitting top of the league, 100% record yet only scored one goal more than us and kept one clean sheet more.

The margins are thin and we could just as easily have won those first three games.

I for one am more than happy with our business yesterday.

Considering quite a few people on here really believed we would have had a net spend in the region 20 - 30 million due to the new tv money, the majority have taken the negative net spend as a victory.

I can't wait for when we sell Barkley for 40 million and only spend half of it.

You "can't wait" to see Barkley moving on?

There are some wierd people on this board.

First and foremost - absolutely delighted to have kept Baines - he's ours now for the next 3/4 years in effect so that's brilliant.

Fellaini went for £4m over his release clause despite nobody else being in for him other than Ginger b*ll*cks. He put in a transfer request to ease the move through and no doubt save us some cash and at no point came out with some snidey Suarez style sh*t. And there's always the thinking did he really fit into Martine's plans?

We sold Anichebe for £6m. Wow. Just wow.

McCarthy - I really like the kid. If the reported £12.5m is felt as high then really it's £8.5m plus £4m from Man Ure as a top-up. I have high hopes for this lad.

Lukaku on loan is a brilliant move. Only negative being a nagging worry there doesn't seem to be a purchase option built-in. On the negative that means if he does well then we're shafted but if I look on the bright side haven't we successfully managed to turn loans into permanent moves consistently over the years?

Duffalolou - exactly as above.

Getting shut of Neville and Round - brilliant

Gareth Barry - very good loan/free signing. He's just what we need.

Robles - will give him the benefit of the doubt. Not overly convinced but happy to have some in reserve better than Mucha

Alcarez - ain't got a clue to be honest

The only down for me is Kone and that's as much down to his price. £6m just feels too much and I've not seen anything in him (happy to be proved wrong). I guess though with Anichebe going for £6m it's simple to equate the two and putting it that way I'm happier with Kone than Cheebs.

IF we still have cash for January then I think this has been a much much better window than I was ever expecting.

Selling out top two goalscorers from last season and replacing them with a couple of tidy deep lying midfielders and a player on loan for one season is not a sustainable strategy.

We need to build teams for the long term.

Think that building for the long term is why we shipped off anichebe mate, he wasnt good enough, brought in Barry because osman isnt good enough, brought in Lukkaku cos Jelavich isnt good enough

yeah Lukkaku is a loan and likelihood is a one season player, but just think if we had had him last season then likelihood is we'd have got the 4th place and imagine the difference that makes financially and to the drawing power of a team for players, good business last night

Sarcastic comment by me, get with the game fella.

I'm happy with the numbers brought in, but i'm waiting to see what gets spent in January before I say this transfer window has been a success.

I don't think it was "sarcastic" at all.

You made a silly statement, were rightly lampooned by several posters and you are now trying to gloss it over.

And if by some chance you were trying "sarcasm".....I would leave it alone in future.

...er....you ain't very good at it :dodgy:
