What a window!

Same here with me, if Lukaku was signed on a permanent deal I would be feeling a bit better.
That would have been ace mate, it just seems we're spending a fair bit of cash that's not an investment in assets, even a well chosen 'unknown' cm prospect for 2-4m would tip me into the 'good window' camp.
However, if these signings make us tick and our season kicks off, all well and good :)
Coyb's!

If we'd signed 2 players on loan for £10 million a few years ago , I'd have gone mental. But football has changed and Martinez knows he has to get it right in his first season or he'll be out. It's understandable.

It goes to show what Martinez can do in the transfer window and actually do good business. We were on the back foot with Lukaku with less than half hour to go and we somehow turned it round. We done good business with McCarthy and gettin him after Dave Whelan tried playing hard ball. The best business was Fellaini and getting that amount for him was excellent. Well done to Roberto, Kenwright and the others but it just goes to show we have a clinical manager who likes to get things done unlike our previous manager who always struggled in the transfer window.

Frustrating windows are possibly a thing of the past.

By the time the loan boys leave, Kone will be a beast 20 goal a season and Jela will have rediscovered his early days 'slotting' form.

Made up this window, although still struggling when bragging to my mates about how we signed "Dayolafayololo" and "Lacookoo".

Good times :)

The thing im intrigued about is the fact the club have released the fee for everything that happened last night. The fans now know that there is still money left over from the sales last night, so surely they wouldn't be stupid to let that money disappear?!

I reckon this has been done with the one and only thing in mind of sticking a finger or two up to Dithering Dave down the East Lancs road. At the end of the day they have paid £4m over his exit clause fee, because in reality Fellaini was about 4th or 5th on his list of targets, behind Ronaldo, Fabregas, Herrera and even Leighton Baines!

Think RM AND Bill K actually deserve a bit of credit over this!

A bit surprised that Heitinga wasn't offloaded, no? See him leaving for nothing next summer is going to hurt with our tight finances.

It might not have been a case of us wanting to keep him, I don't think there was many teams interested due to his age and wages.

This time next year, we need to replace Osman, Distin, Pienaar, Hibbert, Barry, Lukaku, Heitinger, Deulofue and maybe kone. That's 9 first team players. How much is our transfer budget next summer Bill?

Relax about next season, lets play this one first, remember we have quite a few good kids coming along.

Picture this...as this would of happened. Fergy didn't retire, Moyes signs a 1 year deal. We wake up today to find Baines and Fell at united for a combined 30 mil and we brought in giggs. Come next year Moyes goes united an we have no assests. With an much older squad an Barkley hasn't played a minute of football

Fellaini you legend!!!

Wanted to leave but remained professional. End up getting Utd to pay 27.5 for him and the when the club requested he put In transfer request, he agreed allowing us to not pay him £2-3M in loyalty bonuses.

I love you big fella, all the best!

Well said mate, I think the way he handled himself during the summer was great tbh & he left in the right way.

Let's not forget that our other gem - Mr Baines, has done exactly the same thing as well.

Positives

Lukaku - goals goals and a some more goals
Getting £27.5m for Fellaini
Pulling off a miracle of getting possibly £6m for Anichebe
Barry is a good seasoned pro, he's a better choice than Osman
Deulofeu is amazing!
Keeping Baines! :) :)

Negatives

Having the "not dependant on Fellaini going" line being rammed in your face every 5 minutes was very annoying and infuriating when Dave Whelan laughed us away with the payment plan and revealing that it was all dependant on Fellaini in the end.
Loan, loan and another loan.
Spending so much money on James McCarthy, considering the prices of other midfielders this window.
We couldn't do an Anichebe with Jelavic.
Heitinga is still here and in the last year of his contract!

Pleased, but only because we've managed to get Lukaku in who will actually score a goal or two.

Only disappointed that we didnt get Tom Ince in on a permanent deal. Would have been a good young addition to a squad that now seems to be looking forward as well as keeping and adding valuable experience.

Robles, Coleman, Stones, McCarthy, Barkley isnt a bad starting 5 to a side 2 seasons down the line. Ince would have added nicely to that.

Shame if things turn good this season as it'll likely be down to the trickery of Deulofeu and the goals of Lukaku... they disappear next June and all of a sudden our squad looks very, very poor...

No money from Bill, need to add a quality striker, Pienaar a year older and slower, Distin possibly gone. What happens then?
Do you actually want us to be bad?
