What a window!

Loans are now a good thing, saved us money and get players in you cant afford. Fellaini wouldn't have scored as many this season as Martinez wouldn't have played him behind the striker, Lukaku should make up for the goals. why are you being so miserable?

You call him miserable, I'd say he is being balanced and not allowing the excitement of signing a quality player who will be sent back to Chelsea in less that a year to cloud his judgment.

Selling out top two goalscorers from last season and replacing them with a couple of tidy deep lying midfielders and a player on loan for one season is not a sustainable strategy.

We need to build teams for the long term.

Congratulations to Kenwright and Martinez with the nett result of the window! -
you had us all hitting panic stations at times but you ended up showing character and backbone the way you stood up to the patronizing Man United / Moyes plundering ployes.
well done boys !!!
some of our posters unfortunately still live in the past and every success Martinez achieves makes them cringe because they believe that only Moyes could run Everton properly HAHA

Err. we've not won a game yet and haven't scored a goal in our last 2 games. Signing exciting players on loan isn't an achievement, winning games on the pitch is.

A quick scan of Red Cafe this morning, and the general feeling is that we have had an ace window, they feel their club has been rubbish in their dealings with us, and the blame is being placed firmly at the door of Woodward & Moyes.

Does anyone believe Toffeeweb's claim that we've picked up the whole £120K a week for Barry's salary?

How we got £27.5m for Fellaini I will never ever know.

They bid £28m for Baines AND Fellaini!!

Outstanding work by whoever did that deal. Moyes has been shafted.

Wasn't his release clause £23m?! It's mental. In a good way.

I bet they claim it wasn't that much.

Vincent Kompany ‏@VincentKompany 56m
Ozil is an amazing signing! My point though: Everton getting two great players at no cost, that's what I call "a great piece of business".

Big Vincent rates our dealings

Had we signed Lukaku permanantly then it would have been a decent window.

As it is we've shipped out our best midfielder, and replaced him with Barry/McCarthy, both decent but nowhere near Fellaini particularly where goal scoring is concerned.

We've lost Anichebe and replaced him with Kone. Jury out but I don't see Kone as an upgrade.

Then we've bought in Lukaku, an excellent young player but only on loan.

So what happens next summer?

Totally agree, loans are short term.

Next season we will be 3 players down (Deulofeu, Barry, Lukaku)

Yeah we did a bit of business in the window but only short term fixes.

I believe it, and agree with it. It's about time we smashed the 100k barrier in wages, we aren't going to get anywhere if we keep on paying the same wages as Sunderland. This was always going to happen with the new TV deal IMO.

Err we've not lost a game (like United) yet and we have 2 clean sheets in our last 3 games.Neither has United scored a goal in their last 2 games - by far the majority of our fans seem chuffed - cheer up and meet the future - leave the past where it belongs .....

We do the same next window, and next summer. I get that we have 3 loan players but so what? They are all good.

If we get 3 good loan players next summer it will still be good.

Considering quite a few people on here really believed we would have had a net spend in the region 20 - 30 million due to the new tv money, the majority have taken the negative net spend as a victory.

I can't wait for when we sell Barkley for 40 million and only spend half of it.
